Harry was at the entrance of the park. He knew Louis had to be here since the lock was laying on the ground.

Louis had bought a lock key off a guard once they started coming here more regularly. It made late-night visits easier.

Harry took a deep breath before walking through the park gate.

He walked straight to the lake, seeing a body sitting on a bench. As he got closer to the body, he could tell it was Louis from the outfit.

He had his legs pulled to his chest, face buried in his legs.

Harry sat down on the bench slowly. He wasn't too sure what he was supposed to say.

"Please leave," Louis said, sniffling.

"Louis, are you okay?" Harry asked, immediately regretting the stupid question, because he was crying. Of course, he wasn't okay.

Louis raised his head, sighing.

"Peachy," he answered sarcastically.

"Anything I can do?" Harry asked, used to Louis' sarcasm.

"Yeah," Louis answered with a sigh. "You can leave," he continued, standing up, but not walking away.

"I'm just trying to help," Harry said, losing his cool slowly. He was only trying to help and Louis was being overall a dick as per usual.

"Well don't try. I don't need your help," Louis replied, vigorously wiping at his eyes, still standing in front of the bench.

"We don't need to be friends Louis, but for the sake of the band and my sanity, can you not try to pick a fight with me every time we are alone?" Harry emphasized sanity because Louis was truly driving him insane.

Louis was quiet for a second.

"I don't try and start a fight with you every time we are alone, you just piss me off," Louis stated with little to no emotion.

"Louis, just sit down and talk." Harry knew Louis was pissed. Louis would always lash out when he was upset or angry, his way of dealing with his emotions.

"I don't want to talk Harry. I want to yell maybe throw some shit. I don't know, just not talk, especially not to you" Louis explained, finally walking away from the bench where he'd been standing and closer to the lake.

Once Louis reached the edge of the lake, Harry stood up and walked beside him.

"Okay, then don't talk. Listen," Harry said before continuing.

"I'm not too sure what happened to us, Louis-"

"Harry," Louis cut him off, shaking his head, not wanting to have this conversation.

"No Louis, you're going to listen to what I have to say if you won't talk," Harry said, looking at Louis to see if he was going to speak.

Louis did a gesture with his hand, telling Harry to continue.

"Okay then," Harry said, having lost his track of thought.

"I'm not sure what happened to us, but the boys had to deal with our bullshit for 2 years. I don't want to put them through that again. I know you don't want to be close with me, you don't even have to be friends with me, but you have to tolerate me at least. Or else I don't think we can make it as a band again," Harry explained.

Louis so badly wants to tell him he could tolerate him. That he could do more than that. He was still the same person, just missing a piece of himself. But he hadn't talked to management properly yet. He didn't know exactly what they wanted from him and he didn't want to fuck up Harry's life any more than he already had.
