Shopping

He went down to remove my underwear......

I suddenly wake up.It was all a dream.I was shaking and drenched in my sweat.

I hadn't seen this kind of dream for about 8 years.I hated these nightmares.I remember,I wouldn't sleep for days,afraid of seeing them.I thought they were gone,I guess I was wrong.

I sat there in my bed rocking myself.My eyes were red and swollen.I had a huge headache,which was going to keep me up all night.

I thought about asking my mom for painkillers, but I remembered we were in a fight, I couldn't talk to her now.

Before I knew it,the sun was rising. I heard birds chirping happily,as if they were mocking me.

I begrudgingly got out of my bed to take a shower.I probably stank from all the sweating last night.I was really tired,my headache had worsened from last night.

When I got in the shower,I relaxed a bit.I stayed in that hot steaming shower for more than an hour.I felt a little better.

As I was drying myself,I got a text from Stacy.

shopping with me

It's not like I liked shopping,l that much,but I just needed to get out of the house.

I waited in my room til Stacy texted me.I didn't want to run into my parents. As soon as I got the 'I'm here' text from Stace,I got out of my room and straight to the door.

My mom was sitting in the dining room,but I ignored her and quickly got outside.

Relieved of getting out,I sucked in a huge breathe, filling my lungs with fresh air.

Stacy was in her black Range Rover.She was never the kind to like small cars.She had begged her parents to buy her this one.

As I got in the car,I saw that she was wearing black ripped jeans and a black shirt.She was never the kind to wear something casual.Even I was a little more dressed,with black high waist shorts and a white crop top.I loved crop tops.But unlike my outfit my face was a different story.I just didn't have the energy to do my everyday makeup. It was just mascara and lip gloss for today.

We were on our way to the mall,when Stace said,"so what's with you and Michael."

"I..what?nothing,"I rambled.

"Oh c'mon,I'm your best friend.I know when you're lying,"she looked at me.

"We're just texting,that's all,"I said.

"Yeah right,spill the beans,sister,"she smiled.

"Staceeeee....,"I drawed.

"Whatttt,tell me please,"she whined.

"I am.We just text,"I lied.She's my best friend and all,but she has a problem with keeping secrets,as in the whole school would find out the next day.I wasn't going to take my chance.

We rode in silence, listening to the music from the radio.When we reached the mall,Stacy basically ran inside,eager to buy clothes.My best friend was a shopaholic.I laughed to myself,as I followed her inside.

This was going to be a really long day.

We shopped for like 5 hours,going to every single store Stacy liked.Our hands were full of shopping bags.

We were starving, so we decided to eat.We went to chick fil a.

We got our orders and sat at a table.

"So what's new?"I asked Stace.

It had occurred to me that we hadn't had a single conversation that didn't relate to clothes in the 5 hours we shopped.

"Well, I met this guy,"she giggled.

"Spill the beans,"I leaned forward.

"It has only been like two weeks, but he's sweet,cute and really funny,"she said with a huge smile on her face.

"Oww,Stacy finally likes someone,"I teased.

"Stop it,it's not even official yet.We haven't even talked about it,"she said.

"Ok tell me more about him,"I said.

"Well,we mostly text,but we have met once.He's a bit older than the guys I've dated before, but he's more mature and affectionate,"she said with love stricken eyes.

"But Stace,be careful though.You never know if he's a player or not,"I said as our food came.

"Hmm,"I said diving in,Stacy followed.We sat silently enjoying our food.

We sat there for a while,laughing about old embarrassing memories.

"Do you...remember that time you fell during your presentation,"she said through tears.

"Oh oh...what about the time Zo tripped and riped your skirt,"I was laughing so hard,my stomach was hurting.We probably looked like idiots laughing non stop.

We finally left the place and Stace said she wanted ice cream,so that was where we were going.

We got our usual ice creams and sat in the car for a while,until Stacy's phone rang.

"It's my dad,"she said.

"Hey dad,what's up,"she answered.

I couldn't hear what he was saying,but it was obvious it was urgent,so I just waited for her to finish the call.

"Ok, dad I'll be there in 10 minutes,"she hung up.

"What happened Stace?"I asked worried.

"My dad needs me,I need to go home now.Is it ok if you get a cab?I'm really sorry,"she said in a hurry.

"Yeah it's ok,you just go home,"I hugged her and got out of the car.

She left and that's when I realized I had no money for a cab.

Oh screw me,what am I going to do now?

I dialed the one number that cane into mind.

"What do you want,loser?"said an annoying Daniel.

Daniel was my cousin,on my mom's side.He was the usual gross,obnoxious,typical cousin.I don't know what women saw in him.

"Can you please give me a ride?"I pleaded.

"What's in it for me?"he said.

"I have some ice cream,"I bargained.

"Be right there...wait where are you at?"Daniel asked.

I told him where I was and waited for him to pick me up.

This chapter was kinda short and I'm really sorry I didn't update sooner,I was reallyyy busy.But here it is,I wanted to introduce a new character.More will be said about him in the next chapter.
