Butterflies

       I was about to turn around and walk back when our eyes suddenly met. I felt butterflies all over.

       Before I knew it, he was out of the car and coming my way.

       "Hey! What are you doing here,"he said showing that mesmerizing smile of his.

       I just stood there, unable to say a word when thankfully my best friend saved me.

       "This used to be our spot. Why are you doing here?"she smiled slyly glancing in my direction.

       "Just needed some peace and quiet,"he replied and looked at me.

       I still kept quiet looking like an idiot. But what came next surprised me.

       "You know, I really missed you Si," he came and gave me a hug.

       "Uh..I.. I missed you too,"I hugged him back.

       When we finally broke the hug I turn to look at Hanna who was grinning like crazy.

       We'll talk about this. She mouthed. Uh I'm not gonna hear the end of this.

       I was so caught up with trying not to blush that I didn't realize that Alex had come out of the car.

       He stood there looking at us with a bored look on his face.

       What was his issue? He acts like he's so much better than everyone. What did I ever see in this guy?

       "Well hello to you too,"Hanna rolled her eyes at him.

       "Yeah yeah whatever. Mike we have to go, I've got some business to do,"he said.

       "Ok, give me a sec," and with that Alex left to the car.

       "Sorry to cut this short, we should hang out sometimes. Coffee maybe or Hot cocoa?"he gave a boyish grin.

       "Yeah sure,"I tried to not sound excited but I'm pretty sure my face betrayed me.

       "Great,I'll call you,he said and kissed me on the cheek.

       Before I could react he was already walking away.  He waved as he reached his car and left.

       "Tell me everything!!!" Hanna screeched.

       I winced knowing she won't let this go anytime soon.

       "Its nothing,"I tried my luck.

       "Nothing my ass,I know you better than that boo. Now spill," she said in a stern voice.

       I told her everything, from the first time we met to the cinema, the cabin and our little meetings, excluding the details about Adam and all that.

       When I was finished, she was practically squealing and jumping up and down holding me with her.

       "Eeekk, you finally have a boyfriend!! I'm so proud,"she fake wiped her tears.

       "Don't get too excited, Han. Nothing has even happened yet," I said.

       "Oww so you WANT something to happen you sly dog you,"she winked.

       "Noo!! I didn't mean like that. What I meant was that I do t want to get my hopes up over nothing Han."

       "Oh don't worry honey, if the way he was looking at you was any indication he is Sooo into you, trust me."

       That made a smile creep its way onto my face which made Hanna smile even more wider, if that was even possible.

       She finally calmed down and we got our stuff from the car.

       We set everything on a blanket I found in the back seat and we sat there relishing the calm and peaceful surrounding.

       Before we knew it we had finished all the food and the sun was setting.

       "I don't know how I'm going to tell my parents, about all of this," she said breaking the silence.

       "I'm sure they'll understand," I tried comforting her. She laid on my lap with me running my hand through her had soothingly.

       "I really hope so. I just don't want to be a disapointment to them, you know?"

       "Yeah I know. So you're keeping it?" I had to ask.

       "Of course I am. I don't have the heart to kill it," she said softly.

       "How about school though. What are you gonna do?"

       "I don't know. Maybe I'll take online classes or just take a gap year," she said defeated.

       I knew this was going to be hard for her. In addition to the whom baby thing, nor graduating with her best friends.

       But I knew we were going to be there for her through it all, after all what were best friends for.

       It was almost midnight when we finally got back to the car and started driving home.

       The radio was playing and we hummed to the beat and sat there in comfortable silence.

       For some reason the road back home was way longer and I was starting to get tired.

       It was getting hard for me to keep my eyes open.

       I closed my eyes for just I second,I open them back to see lights flashing front of me and the honk of a car...

I know I know another cliffhanger, but what can I say they're just so fun.
