"SVETLANNA Royale is it?" a small voice echoed from behind me.

I was heading from my second period and I had to stop at my locker to switch out my books. I didn't bother to turn around. I was too busy trying to pull my English textbook from my locker.

"Who's asking?" I replied slipping my book into my bag.

"Nice heels. Mind if I borrow them sometime?" She asked. Yes it was a girl.

I closed my locker turning around to finally face her. She was shorter than I and had the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. I placed my book bag over my right shoulder careful not to mess up my curls.

"Depends on who's asking."

She gave me a small smile before stepping back to leaning on the railing that was only a few feet away from my outdoor locker.

"I'm Grace LeBouff."

I simply nodded. The name didn't ring a bell at all. "Walk with me Grace."

We began to walk together side by side our heels clicking in unison. I had a third period to get to and if she wants to chat she's going to have to make it quick.

"I'm surprised you don't recognize the last name. I'm sure your mother has mentioned us before." She said.

"Us? We only met you a minute ago. I have no idea what you're talking about." I replied making my way inside the school.

"Wow. So you're mother never talked about her best friend around you guys?"

I glanced over at Grace a little concerned. Is she okay? How do you just approach a complete stranger and begin prying into their personal life?

"You mean some lady named Charlotte LeBouff?" I asked stopping infront of my third period class.

"That lady just so happen to be my mother."

Then it all clicked. I gave her the look of realization as I readjusted my book bag onto my shoulder.

"Ohhh I see now. Nice to meet you Grace. We can chat later if you want I have to get in here before the late bell rings."

She smiled then nodded. "If you insist."

"Okay, great." I turned to step into third period, but I completely bumped into something.

My phone fell out of my hand as well as my purse. I winced in pain as my wrist collided with their chest in the process.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to run into you like that. I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing." A more deeper voice said.

I stood still massaging my wrist with my left hand as he quickly bent down to pick up my stuff. I leaned over a little to make sure my pedicure wasn't messed up. Before I could pull back he came up back up his head colliding with mine.

"Ow!" I cried stumbling back a bit while holding my forehead.

"I am so sorry ! I'm such an idiot."

He handed me my things staring at me in awe. I just shook my head signaling that it was okay. I rubbed my forehead a little with a small wince before hurrying into class. Not the best moment of being here but it's not like it's the end of the world. I walked around the class to find a seat. Most of them were nearly taken.

I walked down the isle to find Grace sitting in her seat with a small smirk on her face. I guess she saw the incident happen by the door. I lightly rolled my eyes with a small sigh. I found a seat in the middle of the class and decided to sit just as the bell was ringing. As much as I wanted to put my head down I couldn't. It would be a bad first impression. I set my phone down on the desk and slipped off my book bag.

I heard the seat to my right rattle which made me look over. It was the boy who nearly gave me a concussion. He just so happened to look over at me the same time I did. He froze then frantically looked around the room before giving up. He sighed while hitting himself in the head relating the words "such an idiot."

"Areee you okay?" I asked.

He instantly stopped bashing himself and peeked peeked over at me. He sat up in his seat giving me a small nervous smile.

"Never better." His face was little red.

"You sure? You're getting a little red in the face there. Do you need a nurse?"

"No!-" His sudden changed in tone startled me and few others sitting around him.

He closed his eyes sighing in defeat. "No, I'm sorry I'm just having a rough morning."

"Oh well I'm sure it'll get better as the day goes by." I reassured him before checking my phone for any notifications.

"I wouldn't count on it." He mumbled.

"I'm ..Svetlana, but everyone calls me Lana."

"Carlos."

"Nice bumping heads with you Carlos." I have a small smile and he returned the favor.

The late bell rang and the ready came rushing in ready to start the lesson. I had put away my phone and took out my text book and flash cards. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain hit my abdomen. I winced in pain grabbing the attention of the teacher.

"Ms. -" She looked down at her clipboard before resuming with her words.

"Royale. Is everything okay?"

I could feel Carlos' gaze on me as I held onto my abdomen. I shook my head crossing my ankles over each other.

"It's okay I'm fine. Just a little cramping."

"Very well. Class I would like you to meet our newest student. Princess Sventlana Royale. Daughter of King Naveen and Queen Tiana."

Did she had to say all that? What if I didn't want people knowing who my parents are. I simply tried to not show any negative emotions. She turned her back to the class and began writing on the chalk board.

I looked over at Carlos who was zoned off into space with a look of worry on his face.

I wonder what he's so stressed about.

_______

Grace sat near the back of the class and watched as Carlos embarrassed himself once again infront of Svetlana. She couldn't help but silently laugh at his lack of damage control. She sat back in her seat and went back to scrolling through her phone.

Just then her phone buzzed from a notification.

Hun, did you meet them yet? Oh I can't wait for you to meet the children of your mother BEST FRIEND!! Be good and make good grades. Love ya! MUAH!

Grace simply rolled her eyes before putting away her phone. She understood her mother wanted her to make some friends, but she didn't have to keep reminding her every hour of the day.
