There are many things I wish I learned as a young child, to have the talent for rhythm growing like a weed in my body, and the tune for it in my ear. I wish I had learned, I wish. I wish. I wished I had learned these things. I'm still young to those older than myself, but youth still escapes me. I feel this way too often, and I remain rigid in place for it. If only I had sprung in the waters and learned the way of its fish, and if only I had tamed the galopping beast and understood its good nature so that we'd be one with the storms. If only I had sprung from a different seed. If only I stopped asking myself this -- if only.
