I looked around without spilling out any other word, my heart beats were increasing in speed by each passing moment. Once again I was having the feeling of being followed so I turned my head and faced Elizabeth who seemed to be enraged, perhaps she felt it too.

All at once I felt a sharp pressure on my chest which made me  lose my breath, I grabbed my neck lightly trying to shatter away the feeling of suffocation that lingered more than just a few seconds. Elizabeth grabbed my shoulder in concern and the feeling faded away. I was scared, it was easy to be noticed.

"Shane?! Are you alright? Let's get out of here for the time being, you need some fresh air."

She lastly looked at one corner at the very end of a hallway then grabbed my hand and pulled me into following her out of the building. I turned my head and glared back at the same corner. I didn't see a thing but the feeling of fear pierced deeply into my veins.

When we finally saw ourselves out of the college I bit my lip hard and tried to ask through my trembling body.

"W-What.. was that?"

Elizabeth sighed and placed her hand over my forehead.

"I am not sure, but I hope that you can now see the danger you are embracing by choosing to live in this place, child."

I sat down on the stairs and rubbed my face. It was not like I could leave easily, I was not out of those cheap ghost movies in which the family would just leave after having enough. More than that I was on my own and the point was that I would start working there and gain the spent money back.

The ruler checked her pocket clock and squinted her eyes lightly at the object, she then sighed lightly.

"It is almost ten o'clock my dear, I am afraid that I will have to leave you. If you need help reaching anywhere I will gladly assist. I advise you to go home and rest for a while, fare well."

As she was waiting for my reply all I was able to do is nod and murmur a ''Fare well" in response. She then left silently, walking on the street surrounded by big alluring linden trees.

I felt my cellphone vibrating so I reached for it and took it out of my pocket, Kaleb was calling me so I knew I couldn't pretend that I didn't know. Before I could answer I gulped heavily and tried to make my voice work properly again.

"Hello?" I finally was able to take any sound out.

"Hey Shane, I called in order to ask if you are fine and everything, you know.. as usual you never call any of us and it was getting kind of worrying."

"Pfft, you know that I always forget, especially when I'm caught with new places and people, I can get really busy too."

"You should of at least called us after you arrived, oh well. Is everything fine there? Did you manage to find out how things work?"

I hated to lie to my family, things weren't going as planned and the island was about to give me a hard moment but I knew I couldn't take anything like a coward and just run away with no money or time. Besides I really liked the college, where else could I create macabre art without being banned?

"Yea, things are going fine, I love the way this college looks like, I think I will enjoy studying and drawing here. What about your place?"

"That's nice to hear. Well I've never seen such amazing computers and devices, I'm thrilled and can't wait to lay my hand on any of them."

I sighed lightly in relief and stood up, I started walking back towards home while still exchanging insignificant information with my brother over the phone. Once again I felt followed but I couldn't do a thing about it, I only wished that someone would be with me on that moment. Even in full daylight this phenomena was freaking me out.

Like in a weird telepathy movie I had the nice surprise to meet up with Enya again just when I needed it the most. She was facing me and walking in the opposite direction. We stopped in front of each other and I said my goodbye to my brother so I could talk to her.

"What's wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost."

I rubbed my nape and shrugged faintly.

"Almost accurate but, I didn't see anything, I just felt it clearly into my chest and throat."

She raised an eyebrow and grabbed my arm in order to drag me.

"Let's go to Excetra, we shouldn't talk about weird things in the very open, especially when I'm not sure what you want to tell me."

I mumbled and followed her fast enough so I wasn't falling and tripping over my own legs. After forty minutes worth of walking we finally found ourselves back to the coffee shop. As in the last time we picked the corner table, the room was half full of people all staring at me again.

"Tell me everything." Enya sat in front of me while staring at me with big eyes.

"As I was trying to tell you while you were dragging me on the streets, it wasn't anything special... I just lost my breath for a few seconds, and I keep having the feeling of being followed. Do you know what this is about?"

Enya thought for a while, she looked around and started tapping the skull lamp, that every table would have, with her long black nails.

"I have no clue. We might look like we are haunted but this place isn't really a ghost like house. Here the living beings are usually far from the spirits, or they just don't want to bother us. I am not sure why you have the feeling of being followed..."

I ran my fingers through my bangs and hair lightly.

"So this place doesn't have demons, ghosts and other traditional spooky followers?"

"Like witches, lost souls and such? We have and are all of them and more, reason why we usually don't haunt each other. We aren't normal human beings."

"Ugh... It will take me a while to understand this..."

"I don't blame you. I will try to find out what's going on, but you need to tell me whenever something happens to you, ok?"

I looked around and cleared my throat. There was again that guy staring at me, the one that made me lose my mind while we were on the hill. I was having enough of people making my shy side show up so I stared back at him fully. He smirked at me which made me shy up again so I looked back at Enya.

"Sooo...what did Elizabeth tell you?"

I frowned and looked out the window.

"Well... she showed me the college..and suggested me to leave this place."
