MJ and Peter danced for a while, both of them getting comfortable with the presence of one another as each song progressed, and when Peter left to go to the bathroom, MJ sat on the bleachers, until Harry come up to her.
"Hey, MJ, you promised me a dance." Harry said, and MJ shrugged, standing up. MJ noted that the song Harry had picked to dance to was none other than 'I Want it That Way' and MJ cringed. Harry reached for her waist, and MJ slapped his wrists.
"Shoulders." and Harry sighed, but he complied and the two danced through the song and the minute it was over, MJ walked into the lunchroom, where the drinks and bathrooms were, and she waited for Peter. And waited, then she turned to Betty, who was eating some pizza with Ned.
"Do you know where Peter went?" MJ asked, and the two students looked uneasy.
"Well, he said that he was gonna leave because he thought he was boring you....and a few other reasons he said not to say." Betty stated in a tentative voice, because Ned was in the middle of chewing his pizza. MJ nodded and stood up, tightening her heel straps, and grabbing her backpack.
"Well, for the record, he wasn't boring me at all, and now I don't have a reason to be here. So I'll go home." MJ said and walked off, her heels clicking satisfactorily. As soon as she was out of the sight of the school, she hid behind it as took off her dress, and making sure nobody was around, she slid into her suit, placed the small mask on and skating through the streets, her backpack on her back, but she discovered the small pouches on the belt expanded to any size, so she put the small bag in there and sped off, coming to a park, one she recognised from her childhood trips to Queens.
She sat on one of the swings and let it hang limply, dangling her too-long-for-the-swing legs and scuffing the sand. She heard a slapping sound, and saw Spiderman swing in on a web, and sit on the swing beside her.
"Heya, you're Ms. Potts' intern hero, right?" Spiderman asked and MJ nodded, "Why the long face?" he asked, and MJ looked at him.
"It is a topic below your level of being, but today was the autumn formal at my high school, and I was dancing with Mr. Stark's science intern, Peter Parker, pretty much the whole time, and then he just left." MJ said with a sigh. Spiderman's eyes seemed to get bigger, and MJ looked at him, twirling a strand of her curly hair.
"Well, I'm a dude, so I can't really understand what YOU are feeling, but Peter probably left because that's what he thought." Spiderman's voice said, much deeper than before.
"What's with the voice?" she inquired, suspicious.
"What do you mean?" he asked warily.
"I've heard you voice before, and I know what a teen boy going through puberty sounds like."
"I'M MUCH OLDER THAN YOU! AND I'M NOT GOING THROUGH PUBERTY ANYMORE. I ended that a while ago, okay?!" Spiderman said in an even louder, deeper voice than before.
"Sure." Michelle said and snickered, looking down at her knees.
"We've got some thugs we should deal with a few streets down, you coming?" Spiderman asked, and MJ nodded, standing up and bending her knees a little bit, and soon he swung off, letting MJ run as fast as she wanted to the location he described, and arrived there before him, but waited for one of his sassy lines to alert the thugs of his presence. MJ realised that they were mugging some woman perhaps her mother's age. This really pissed MJ off and she sighed, waiting for Spidey.
