Chris slammed his pencil onto the table, the frustration getting the best of him.

"Woah, woah, woah, be careful with that!" William warned him as he made his way into his bedroom and threw himself onto his bed. Chris was seated at William's desk where William could easily spot crumpled up paper and eraser crumbs that Chris had left behind.

"I hate math," Chris said through gritted teeth, "How is this shit suppose to help me in the future?" He picked up the sheet of paper and dramatically pointed at it, trying to get William to look at it.

William forced himself to peel his eyes away from his phone and look at Chris's display of agony. His eyes quickly flickered towards the sheet of paper as he shrugged his shoulders, not really paying attention nor caring about Chris's dilemma.

He went back to typing on his phone a small, genuine smile spreading across his lips– a smile that Chris was oblivious to.

"To make things worse you're not even helping me," he frowned at William, who was unaware of Chris looking at him, "I wish Eva were here," he muttered the last part to himself. He then realized what he said and shook his head back and forth as if it would rid him of those thoughts.

William dropped his phone, the smile on his lips slowly fading as he opened his mouth to speak, "I'm sorry you're shit at math," he sighed loudly, obviously tired of his friend's constant complaints the minute he'd arrived at his apartment. "You might as well ask Eva for help," he tried reasoning with Chris, but William knew Chris wouldn't be calling her tonight.

"No," Chris said firmly. "I can do it myself. I need a break anyways," he carelessly threw the paper onto William's desk and jumped onto William's bed as he stretched his limbs.

Chris stared at the ceiling as both he and William laid there in complete silence. Chris always found it comforting when he was with William. It didn't matter if they were at school, at William's place, Chris's place, or if they were out and about in public; he always found himself feeling like he had that support from him. And that's how it had always been since they were little kids barely beginning to understand the meaning of life. William was Chris's best friend. His brother. His family. And he wouldn't know what to do without him.

"Do you know a girl by the name of Sara?" Chris broke the silence first as he turned to look at William.

William pondered in silence making Chris a bit impatient– he didn't like to be kept waiting and William knew that; however, his intentions weren't to make him impatient but rather, William was only thinking about the question. "A girl named Sara approached the boys and I yesterday. Something about a party on Friday," he finally responded.

Chris nodded in acknowledgment, "She said only the best of the best would be invited," he smirked, his ego growing every minute that ticked by as they spoke more about the party.

"You know Lukas is going to be there," William revealed as he stared at Chris, waiting to see what his reaction would be like.

Chris raised his eyebrows in surprise, "He's not all that great looking you know," he scoffed. Chris had never felt bothered, not even one bit by another guy but since Lukas's arrival he had been uneasy. He had been uneasy due to the fact that a majority of the girls that had once worshipped the ground he walked on, were paying less attention to him and more attention to Lukas. "I don't know why he was invited," he said after a while.

William couldn't help but snort in amusement. Ever since Lukas's arrival, he had found the whole thing funny because he had never seen Chris riled up the way he was now. It was a first and he was curious to see how it would unfold.

"Do you feel threatened by him?" William took advantage of the situation as he tried to get the answer out of Chris.

Chris stayed silent for a while as he pondered the question. He knew that if he was honest and told William the truth, William would tease him until his dick wrinkled, but if he lied he wouldn't have to worry about that.

"A bit," he admitted. He should have lied, but he realized that it was time for him to fess up and see it through William's perspective.

As soon as the words left Chris's mouth, William found it hard to keep a straight face as his expression shifted to one of amusement.

Although they had never talked about it, both of them wanted to find the one eventually. And now that William was starting to develop something special with Noora, he wanted Chris to find that and experience it.

"Is it because of Eva?" William asked, genuinely intrigued by the topic of their conversation.

Chris shrugged his shoulders, "I.. don't know," he said, "I don't know how I feel. I don't know why I'm feeling like this and I just want to fucking go back to how it was before," he ran his fingers through his hair in utter frustration, leaving it disheveled. "I'm," he paused, searching for the right word, "confused," he said finally.

William looked at him thoughtfully. Although he knew his best friend, he sometimes felt like he didn't know him all too well. He was never 100% sure of what Chris's thought process was like nor how he felt most of the times.

Chris is something else, William thought. "There's this girl that I like," William revealed to Chris in hopes that maybe it would help him figure out whatever the hell is going on in his head. He had intended to keep it a secret a while longer, but Chris was in a pickle and William would do anything for his best friend.

Upon hearing those words, Chris's head did a whole 180 that left him staring wide-eyed at William. "What?" Chris asked in disbelief, "Did I hear that right? You like someone?" He asked, his mouth agape with incredulity.

Chris's mouth still hung open in shock as William slowly nodded his head in confirmation. "So who's the unlucky girl?" Chris teased as he shut his mouth and continued to process the words.

In return William playfully smacked Chris, the sound of his hand hitting Chris's arm satisfied him, "Noora. And she's more than unlucky, drittsekk," William rolled his eyes. "We've been seeing each other for a while now," he confessed, "And you can't tell Eva," he frowned at the thought of Chris spreading the news to Eva.

Disbelief was painted across his face, "Eva doesn't know? Isn't that like against girl code?" Chris was confused, but also felt smug after realizing that his best friend told him the news before Eva's best friend told her the news.

William groaned in annoyance, "That's not the point. The point is that if I can find someone, so can you," he shrugged his shoulders.

As if it were that simple, Chris scowled. "Look, I'm happy for you bro, but just because it happened to you doesn't mean it's gonna happen to me too," he said the words with finality.

"You're so fucking stubborn and annoying. You know that right?" William threw his hands up in the air, completely over Chris's shit. He tried. He really did and even though he hadn't tried hard enough, William knew that he had planted the seed in Chris's head.

"We're best friends. Of course I know, you dip shit; you're always reminding me," a grin spread across his lips, "And you do know that you're just as stubborn and if not, even more than me," he cocked his head to the side to get a better view of William.

"Anyways," William emphasized the word as he ignored Chris's comment, "Never say never," he smirked knowingly as if he knew something Chris didn't.
