Chris tried to squeeze past a group of girls, but as he pushed through them, the girls raked their long, sharp nails across his chest. The sensation sent shivers down his spine.

He walked past a platinum blonde and realized it was Noora. He cocked his head to the side to get a better look at her, their eyes meeting for a split second. A smirk stretched across his lips, prompting her to raise a questioning eyebrow, but he ignored it, feeling smug as he looked away and changed course to find William.

He was occasionally stopped by a couple of different girls. Each one trying to get something out of him, whether it was to talk or to make out– each one expected to get something out of him. He loved the attention, but for the most part, he felt like it was a routine.

Chris continued navigating through groups of sweaty bodies until he finally caught sight of his best friend.

William stood off to the side with two girls. Both girls were chatting to him, but he looked uninterested and bored. Chris approached them and started talking to the girls and realizing what he was doing, William let out a sigh of relief.

Chris whispered into the girls' ears as they giggled, nodded their heads, and walked away leaving William and Chris alone, "Your girl's here," Chris whispered loud enough over the music for only William to hear. "Was she your plus one?" Chris asked, after realizing that there was no way in hell the Pepsi Max girls had willingly invited Eva and her friends. According to what Eva had once told him, the Pepsi Max and Eva weren't the best of friends.

William nodded his head, "Yeah. I told Sara that I wouldn't come to the party if she didn't invite Noora and her friends. I knew she wasn't going to say no, after all, she needed us here," he said, as he lazily shrugged his shoulders.

Chris laughed and wasn't surprised that Sara had agreed. The Pepsi Max were desperate to have the Penetrators here. If everyone saw that the Penetrators were hanging out with the Pepsi Max, they'd want to start hanging out with them too.

William's expression turned thoughtful as he looked at Chris, "Have you talked to Eva?"

Chris hadn't paid any attention to her whereabouts, but he had a strong feeling that she was somewhere around here. It's not that he was avoiding her, he just happened to not have seen her yet.

"No," Chris replied as he took a swig from the red solo cup he was holding filled with jungle juice. He cleaned his mouth with the back of his hand as his eyes scanned the party. He was surprised to find that there were more guys than girls and he found it a bit disappointing.

"You should," William said after a while. He tore his gaze away from Chris and searched for Noora among the groups of people. Finally catching sight of her, a small smile formed on his lips as he watched her talk to Vilde.

Chris sighed dramatically as he patted William's chest, "I know you want to help, but I don't really need it. I appreciate it but let me do my own thing." With one final glance at William, Chris walked away  before he could say anything else.

Chris went directly to the kitchen where he poured himself more jungle juice into his cup. He chugged half of the drink as he leaned against the wall and scanned the party once more.

As he was scanning the party, Chris finally caught sight of Eva. She was standing on the other side of the room with none other than the devil himself– Lukas.

Chris stared. He noticed the way Lukas would glance at Eva when she wasn't looking and the way she would seductively run her fingers down his arm. He noticed how close they were standing next to each other and it irritated him more than it should have.
