Onsdag 12:11 | Wednesday 12:11 pm

Eva

I looked up at the clock hanging above the whiteboard and read the time, 12:11. I had exactly four minutes until I had to raise my hand and ask Mr. Berg if I can go to the restroom and "pee."

I was a bit reluctant at first, but Chris ended up convincing me to meet him in the supply closet, so here I am counting down the minutes until it's time for me to go.

It had gone like this:

Chris
Meet me in the supply closet near the restrooms at 12:15

?

Chris
Just meet me there

?

Chris
For fucks sake just meet me there

Calm down

Chris
I am

No you're not

Chris
Yes I am

No you're not

Chris
Stop

Bye

I tapped my pencil on my desk as I waited for the clock to strike 12:15.

I felt a bit nervous about the meet up with Chris because you know, he's Chris, but I was, of course, curious to see why he wanted to meet up in the first place. He didn't tell me what the purpose of the meeting is and I didn't ask him either.

"–it's important to know that prokaryotes go through a process called binary fission in order to reproduce," I was able to catch the last part of Mr. Berg's speech on binary fission and scribble it down in my notebook. Science isn't for me so I always make sure to write down everything he says and I swear to God if meeting up with Chris messes up my grade he's going to wish I never met up with him.

I wrote some more until the clock finally hit 12:15 and that's when I raised my hand.

"Yes, Eva?" Mr. Berg raised his eyebrows in question as he set down his marker on the desk.

"May I use the restroom?" I spoke rapidly.

He nodded his head and picked up the marker, continuing the lecture as I scurried towards the door and closed it behind me. I looked in both directions to see if anyone was nearby, but the hallway was completely deserted, meaning it'd be easy to walk right into the supply closet.

It wasn't far, it was literally right around the corner and soon enough I was standing right in front of it, twisting the doorknob to the right. I walked right in and closed the door behind me as I was engulfed in complete and utter darkness. I hated the dark I was absolutely terrified of it, but I always shrugged off the fear and pretended like I wasn't afraid at all.

Just as I was about to take out my phone to use as a light for guidance, I felt hands gently grab onto my waist and roughly pull me down. A squeal left my lips as I fell on top of whoever – I'm assuming it was Chris – pulled me down onto their body.

"Shh," I heard the voice shush me right after the squeal had escaped my lips. "Can't you be quiet?" The voice gave me confirmation that it was, indeed, Chris who had pulled me down.
