Y/n's pov
I opened the door and squinted as the sun virtually blinded me.
"Hmm...y/n How about we pop down to the book shop? Now that there's more of us, we can search quicker!" Zelda suggested enthusiastically.
"Sure."
Zelda then followed behind Link and I as we walked down the road to the cute little bookshop that resided within the corner of the street.
"Wow I've actually..never been here before, it's cute." Link looked at the shop.
"I swear you find everything cute." I stated.
"Nah.."
I rolled my eyes and walked in said shop.
"Ah, welcome y/n. We just got a new supply of historical books in, you're welcome to have a look." The kind old man gleamed from behind the counter.
I was his best customer as I had bought many, many books about skyloft.
"Oh! I see you brought friends, I'll make some tea then," he redirected himself towards Link and Zelda," I hope you find something that is to your liking."
"I'm sure we will, sir." Link smiled.
He smiled and shuffled along to the back room to brew some tea.
"Right then, the section for historical books is over there," I pointed over to the far right corner of the room," I'll check out the mythology books."
"Right...What are we looking for again?" Zelda asked innocently.
"Anything that has anything to do with portals or teleportation. Oh, and make sure it's non-fiction." I smiled.
Link rolled up his sleeves," let's get to work then!"
Link and Zelda gathered up all of the historical books and sat on the back table, skimming through them all for anything That could take me back home.
"Y/n, are you sure you can read all of these in one day?" The shop owner came over to my table with some tea and spoke to me.
"I can sure try."
"If you say so."
Zelda and Link of course had more books but split between them it would only take a few hours, myself on the other hand, foolishly decided to try and scan through almost three hundred books.
Hours went by where I had been unsuccessful and it was now late at night.
Fuck! I'm tired- ah, my eyes keep shutting this isn't good. I need to get home!um.. sing something! Anything!
"I'm gonna take my horse..to the old town..road I'm.. gonna...."
My eyes slowly fluttered closed and I soon lost consciousness.
Link's pov
"Link, I love y/n and all but I'm seriously starting to doubt the fact that there is any way to get her back to her own..dimension(?)"
Zelda sighed and closed the book she was on.
"Maybe we should call it a night." She suggested.
I flipped the page over.
I mean she did have a point, we had been at it for hours, but to no avail.
I glanced down, pondering my next words, only to look at the page below me.
Chapter 34:
Portals and interdimensional travel."Zelda! This is it!" I pointed to the page and gestured for her to read it.
Her eyes widened," go and find y/n!"
I did as I was told and swiftly ran over to the other side of the shop. When I arrived I saw y/n, spread across the table, fast asleep.
I'm really gonna miss her when she's gone..
I then bought the book and tidied all of our mess away. I picked y/n up bridal style and took her home.
When I was just outside of our house I saw Ghirahim giving me a death glare from inside his house.
What's his problem.
For a moment I seriously considered teaching him some manners but ultimately decided against it. He wasn't worth it.
I layed y/n down in my bed for what felt like the hundredth time but before I left the room she let out a little groan," Link..."
Holy shit she's adorable--
I left the room with a noticeable blush.
I decided to sit at the table and study the book I had just bought.
"Chapter..30?? Fuck..." I hit my head multiple times trying to remember what chapter I was on.
