Annabeth smiled wearily at Percy, clutching a suitcase. "I'll miss you, Perce."

"I will, too," he said and returned her weary smile. "I'll call you, okay?"

"I'll answer," Annabeth replied, "and call you, too. You know where I'm staying, right? And you have the number?"

Percy nodded. "Of course."

Then Annabeth dropped her suitcase and ran to Percy. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a kiss.

"I can't believe you two," Thalia said, appearing in the doorway of their apartment. "You act like she's going off to war. The hotel we chose isn't that bad."

They pulled apart and Annabeth blushed furiously. "Well, we've never gone this long apart before!"

"It's one night, Annabeth, not a year," Thalia said. "You two used to not see each other entire summers."

Percy sighed and wrapped an arm around Annabeth. "That's different now. We haven't been apart overnight since Freshman year of college when Annabeth been to go visit her dad in San Francisco."

"And you were perfectly fine," Thalia said and pulled Annabeth away from him forcefully. "Piper's been waiting in a cab for over half an hour."

"I bet she was kicked out," Percy said. "Now it'll take time to find a new one, so you two should stay in here in case it's too cold out."

Thalia rolled her eyes. "You act like it takes a year to get a cab. And besides, it's August! It won't be too cold out."

"Maybe it's too hot!" Percy said. "I don't want you guys suffering from heat stroke or-"

It was too late. Thalia had already pulled Annabeth outside the apartment. Percy sighed and checked his watch.

It was the night before Percy's wedding and, as a tradition, the bride and groom aren't supposed to see each other until they're married.

Percy considered that tradition stupid as he missed Annabeth and when they got married he wanted to spend the whole day with her.

Since he hated being alone Percy had invited Grover, Jason, Leo, and Frank over since Juniper, Piper, Calypso, and Hazel were all at a hotel nearby. He figured they could all be alone together.

Percy still had half an hour to kill before his guests arrived, so he decided to clean up a bit. Since they both had full time jobs, their apartment was constantly messy and full of clutter.

After cleaning Percy settled down on his couch and turned on a television show. A few minutes later, he heard a buzz.

"It's Grover," Grover's voice boomed from the system. Percy let him up. In less than five minutes Grover was in Percy's apartment.

"Hey, how's Evan?" Percy asked as he closed the door behind Grover.

Grover sighed. "Perfect. Do you wanna see a picture?"

"Uh...sure," Percy replied as Grover whipped out his phone. Ever since Grover had become a parent, he'd been crazy with showing everyone pictures of his now month old son.

This time, the photo was of Evan playing around near Juniper's tree. There were about five million of the same photos. Percy sighed and hoped someday when he became a parent, he wouldn't be obsessed like this.

"I think that's it." Grover frowned while Percy sighed with relief. "Unless you want to see him by the lake. Oh gods, it's so adorable."

"I think I should check to see if Annabeth called," Percy said and fished his phone from his pocket. Annabeth hadn't called, but an unknown number had called him and left a message.
