Noah:

I had been awake for over an hour, I'm sure this isn't how things were supposed to be but right now I am too exhausted to care.

How long has it been? I can't remember, we've been home from the resort for a few days, but I just left the bed to go to the bathroom and eat cereal. Valerie has been pretty much the same, we are going to need more cereal or food soon which I will probably order for delivery.

She is laying right there, it's a king sized bed, but it's like she was thousand miles away. Apparently we've both given up. She was trying, but I didn't want to try anymore, it is easier like this. Being strong and pushing your grief away to make someone else feel better it's just exhausting, very exhausting.

The door downstairs shoots open. And I immediately sit up alert. I can't let any more burglars to barge in my house again. Valerie sat up as well, she looked terrified and for the first time in days, she moved closer to me and cuddled to my side. I really hope she doesn't care about my terrible smell, I haven't shower in forever.

instinctively, I wrapped my hand around her and tried to look in my drawer for some kind of object that would help me.

"GET DECENT! I'M COMING IN!" I heard a familiar voice outside. I'm a little relieved it's Chad who came in instead of a burglar, but i'm pretty annoyed he decided to come like that unannounced.

He gets in our room and starts moving his hand in front of his face "It smells like death in here" he groans, Valerie crosses her arms in front of her chest, trying to cover her breasts so he can't see them under her pajama shirt that doesn't have a bra underneath.

"Chad, what the fuck?" I ask annoyed as i stand up from my bed and walk over to him. He looks at me raising an eyebrow and crosses his arms in front of his chest.

"We're going out tonight" He says with a smirk and i roll my eyes turning my back to him and walking bad to the bed, doesn't he see we don't feel like going out at all?

"No thanks." I say laying down again and covering myself with the duvet.

"You two smell terrible, how long had it been since you even showered? I'm not gonna let my two best friends waste their lives hiding in a bedroom under a duvet!" He says raising his voice, Valerie rolls her eyes and walks past him going inside the bathroom.

"Chad please leave, we're not going to go anywhere, okay? we're tired" I say matter of factly, Chad shook his head opening the curtains, it was dark. what?

"It's 7PM, You haven't left your bed in days, You don't need anymore rest. We're going. Period" He said challenging me , I groaned

"Why? what's the reason to? do you think i have a reason to celebrate anything at all, chad? I have nothing to be happy for, i don't want to go to a fucking club" I said already mentally exhausted by the short conversation with him.

"At least let's go to the pub and we can play pool or something, yeah? i'tll be fun, please Noah, let me take you guys out" He pleaded. The bathroom flushed and Valerie walked out going to bed again and laying down, she was wearing a bra under her shirt now.

"What do you say V? do you want to go out tonight?" Chad asks her. She looks at him and shrugs lightly.

"I don't really care, Noah decides" She says yawning and covering herself with the duvet. He sighed and looked at me, I groaned at his face and sighed as well.

"FIne, but we'll leave whenever we fucking want to, okay?" I ask raising an eyebrow, and Chad nodded quickly hugging me, I hug back and then he pulls away
