Summary: It's the start of your first week with Katie.

Katie had been woken up by the lovely scent of her favorite pancakes. It took her a little while to realize that there was only one person who knew how to make them exactly like she liked them and rushed out of the bedroom to find you cooking her pancakes. It was still a shock to her to be back with you.

"You didn't have to."

"I know but I wanted to. I know how much you loved them and I figured it was a good way to celebrate the fact that you were back home."

Katie smiled and wrapped her arms around your waist, letting her head rest on your shoulder as she watched you finish up. She liked being close to you, it made the butterflies in her stomach flutter.

"This is a lovely way to wake up. I'll be right back. I just realized that I haven't even washed up."

You laughed and turned your head to the side to kiss her cheek. Katie would sometimes just rush out of bed without even realizing that she hadn't washed up. It was adorable.

"I'll be here and finishing up then. Maybe we can go to the stores. It's getting cold and I'm more than sure you left your winter clothes back in your apartment in Vancouver."

Katie pouted and shook her head. She had forgotten how you knew her so well.

"I just can't seem to keep any secrets from you. I'll be right back."

With a quick kiss to the cheek, she rushed upstairs to change.

The pancakes were soon finished and you had set up the table as you waited for Katie. It's like she knew you were already setting up the table when a second later, she popped out.

"Looks absolutely delicious! You even cut up some of my favorite fruit. You're an angel. Thank you."

She sat down and the two of you started eating. Most of the breakfast was spent talking about what the two of you will be doing for the rest of the week until eventually the pancakes had finished.

"We were certainly hungry. I can't remember the last time I ate this many pancakes."

"You're welcome. I did give you quite a workout."

Katie simply laughed as she saw you blush. Despite all the dirty things the two of you had already done, she could still get you to blush at the mention of anything remotely related to that. It was one of her favorite things about you as she certainly loved to tease you about it.

"Come on. We need to head out. The longer we wait, the bigger the crowds will be."

The two of you headed inside the mall hand in hand. Since your relationship was a secret, Katie wore one of your oversized hoodies and some sweatpants with a hat to avoid being spotted. You simply loved when she would wear your clothes. You were taller than her and everything that she borrowed would look quite big on her. She just looked absolutely adorable despite her claims of not looking cute.

Katie led you around the mall as she looked for clothes that helped keep her warm. Despite how much you hated coming to the stores, you liked coming with her. She made the trips fun and you were simply glad that you were able to spend some time with her. The past few months had been hard for the two of you despite saying that everything was fine.

With enough clothes to last her for the winter, both of you made your way back home.

"Thank you for coming with me. I know how much you hate going to the mall and before you try to deny it, don't even bother. I know just about everything and you're a terrible liar."

Katie was right. You were a terrible liar and and much worse when it came to Katie. She loved seeing you try to lie as you would come up with the most outrageous things. She truly missed the way you would stutter and struggle to find a lie that she would believe.

"Okay, you got me but I do enjoy spending the day with you. I just mainly missed you a lot for the past few months and I want to spent as much time as I can with you."

You sighed sadly, trying to keep back your tears. This is what Katie had never seen. She never saw the way you would wait for her to hang up before you cried yourself to sleep. You felt silly for crying but you couldn't help it, you missed her so much.

Katie pulled you into a hug and continued holding on to you until you managed to calm down a little. With you crying out everything that you held back, you didn't notice that Katie had let out a few tears. She also never told you about the long nights that she had because she couldn't sleep without you.

"I'm here and I want to spend as much time as possible with you. I might not have said it during some of our calls but I truly did miss you (y/n). I had gotten used to you holding me before we slept and it just felt so strange being in a bed without you."

"Lets not keep things from each other. Maybe if we had told the other then we would have visited each other more often or something."

"You're right. For now, I'm starving and I would like some food please."

You laughed softly and pulled out your phone.

"Of course. Still want the same?"

You had her favorite restaurant on speed dial and soon dialed after she confirmed. The food didn't take long to arrive and ended up eating in the living room since it was much more comfortable. More like, you just wanted to cuddle up with Katie and she didn't seem to mind as she held you while watching a movie.

You must have been exhausted from the day and ended up falling asleep besides her. Katie didn't want to wake you up and simply carried you up to the bedroom. She took off everything except for your underwear and shirt as she knew that no matter what weather it was, you would get hot. Borrowing one of your shirts, she cuddled up besides you and fell asleep with you in her arms. A smile was on her face as she had been finally able to properly sleep after the long nights in Vancouver.

Might do more than 5-6. Not sure. Let me know how I'm doing. I'm always looking to improve. Thank you!
