Today, was just going to be a lazy day. Neither you or Katie wanted to get up when the sun started shining through the blinds.

"(Y/n)... close the blinds."

She mumbled into the pillow to shield her eyes from the light.

You laughed softly and leaned down to kiss her uncovered cheek before walking over to the blinds and closing them properly. Sometimes, it was just nice to lay down in bed and relax. Even better when the one you want to marry is sharing the bed with you.

"I'm going to go get us breakfast at the coffee shop, did you want me to get you anything?

"Yes please, the usual."

"Alright! I'll be right back with the food."

You quickly changed, not really caring what you threw on and then went out.

It wasn't until you went outside that you noticed you weren't wearing your shirt. Katie's was a little shorter but it was enough to feel the cool breeze from the morning. Not wanting to head back to house, you rushed to the coffee shop and ordered your usual whenever Katie would come over.

"Breakfast is ready!"

Not hearing a reply, you figured Katie had gone back to sleep. Minutes later, you hear something or more like someone fall.

"Katie! Are you alright?"

You rushed over to see what had happened and to help her stand back up.

"I just tripped over my feet but I'm alright. Now what's this that I hear about breakfast being brought to me."

"I brought you your favorite coffee and muffins from the coffee shop down the street."

She didn't even say anything as she rushed into the kitchen to take her coffee. When you walked in, you just saw her sighing happily as she drank the coffee.

"This is my favorite. Too bad I can't get it when I'm filming. No other coffee can compare to this."

"Nice to know my coffee comes in second."

"Oh hush. You know what I mean."

The dining table was soon occupied with the two of your eating the muffins from the shop.

"So I'm teaching you how to cook today, we'll have to go to the grocery store since I don't think I have enough groceries for any dish. Did you have something in mind for me to teach you."

She sipped the rest of her coffee while thinking of what she might want to learn.

"Tacos. I miss yours when I'm back on set and I want to be able to cook them when I'm missing you."

This made your heart break. You simply wished you could be with her 24/7 but it was impossible at the moment with both of your jobs.

"It looks like we'll be making tacos then."

After finishing breakfast and cleaning up the kitchen, both of you headed upstairs to change. Katie going for a simple shirt and jeans while you wore sweatpants and a hoodie. Since she didn't want to be seen, Katie wore your jacket from yesterday and a beanie. It was simple enough that no one would pay attention.

Once you were dressed, you drove to the nearest grocery store and walked down the aisles to pick out the ingredients for the tacos along with some other food that Katie had been craving since Vancouver.

"Can we try to make some cookies as well? I don't think you've ever baked me anything."

"Nope and I wish I could but I suck at baking."

"No way. I don't believe you. Cooking is much harder than baking and you're a pro at it."

You laugh and shake your head.

"It's true. My mom wasn't the greatest baker either so she never showed me."

"Well then we'll learn how to bake together."

Katie was excited to learn how to bake a cake together. She loved having you help her cook and figured it would be a nice turn of events if she was the one that helped you bake. Leading you to the baking goods, Katie tossed everything that was needed to make the cake inside the cart.

"Looks like we're good to go. Anything else we're missing?"

Making sure that nothing was missing, you double checked what was inside the cart and then went to pay. Katie simply smirked when she pulled her card quicker than you in order for her to pay. Making sure that no one was looking, you stuck out your tongue at her. You laughed as she faked being offended at your gesture.

"Come on, you goof. We have a lot of cooking to do."

Groceries were brought down from the cart and soon put away except for what will be needed to make the tacos.

You divided the ingredients that needed to be cut evenly so the food will be finished quicker Breakfast had been a long time ago and you knew Katie would be hungry soon. She would never admit it but she tended to get hangry whenever she went without food for a while. You teased her for it but all she did was kiss you to distract you from what you were saying. You weren't sure if Katie knew but you only did so she could kiss you.

Everything was cut up and thrown into the pan, all Katie had to do was watch the pan to make sure nothing was burned. While you heated up the tortillas, you would check every few minutes to make sure the food had not been burned until eventually everything was cooked properly.

You served the two of you the tacos while Katie set up the table and set them down on the appropriate spots.

"I can safely say that you can now make these without any supervision. They taste delicious."

Katie had the widest smile and threw herself at you to pull you into a tight hug.

"Thank you for teaching me. I won't disappoint you when I make them next time."

You gently smacked her arm as you heard her say that.

"You could never disappoint me. Everything that you do amazes me and I'm always proud of the work you do Katie. I'm lucky to be able to call you my girlfriend."

"We're both lucky"

Katie said after kissing you softly.

Dinner was soon finished and the dishes that had been used were cleaned up and put away.

"I'm ready to make this cake. Just remember that I told you that I suck at baking."

Katie managed to learn the hard way that you weren't lying about being a terrible cook. She had only stepped out a few minutes to talk to her agent and came back to find you pulling out a burnt cake.

"Okay, I have to admit this is kind of my fault. You did say you were a terrible cook."

You gave her a sheepish smile and helped clean up the mess the two of you had made. Since neither of you had brought extra materials, ice cream was served for dessert. It wasn't the same as the cake but it certainly tasted better than the burnt cake that was now laying on the pile of garbage.

After the long day of cooking and baking, both you and Katie were exhausted that neither of you had bothered to change out of your messy clothes that had gotten covered with flour. As soon as both of your heads landed on your respective pillows, you were out like a light.
