The sun had thankfully woken you up earlier than Katie. You needed to up earlier than her or else you wouldn't be able to do the surprise. After stretching, you headed towards the blinds and closed them so she wouldn't be forced to wake up as well.

You quickly washed up for the day and then changed out of your pajamas. Since it was still quite early, you figured it was just better to wait before making breakfast for Katie so you just simply ate some cereal.

Katie was still asleep and you were entirely grateful as you walked inside your office and quietly closed it so you wouldn't wake her up with your voice. You pulled out the documents that you had written some time ago and started dialing everyone that you had hired for the day. This needed to be perfect and therefore you needed the help of professionals to help complete everything.

Everyone was well aware of what was needed to be done as you had sent them documents with written out details and pictures as to what you had wanted done. You had gone down the list and made sure the person you hired as a supervisor was there to make sure it was being done the way you had asked. Making sure they only called if there was a problem, you hung up and went to check on Katie.

She must have been tired from the long week as she was still dead to the world.

"Sweetie, wake up. It's already late. Lets go get some breakfast."

She groaned and stuck out her hand to make the motion as if she was trying to snooze me.

"Very funny. Come on. It's our last day together and I want to make it count."

This seemed to get her up as she sat up and started to stretch.

"Your lucky that I love you. I only do this for you. Everyone else knows not to mess with me when I'm deep in my sleep."

"Yeah. Yeah. Hurry up."

You headed downstairs to wait for her. Checking to see that she wasn't coming down, you pulled out the box from your pants to make sure the ring was still there. It had taken you a few weeks of ring shopping to realize that nothing was perfect enough for Katie so you decided to have it custom made. It took you another few weeks with several days of going back and forth with the design until eventually you were happy with what had been done. The ring was sent to you a few days later and you've been keeping it in your pocket or purse ever since.

"Alright. I'm ready. Lets go get breakfast but you're paying for making me get up."

"Of course, love."

You leaned in to kiss her and soon headed to one of the restaurants closest to the mall that served breakfast late in the morning.

Your usuals were ordered and quietly ate while Katie talked about what the next week would be like. You didn't want her to leave but you didn't want for her to cancel the whole thing. She might be capable of doing it if you mentioned the fact that you just didn't want to see her leave. After finishing, you drove to the mall so she could get what she might be needing for the next couple of days.

Katie had noticed you getting distracted from worrying about them messing up your proposal that she would stop a few times to ask if you were okay.

"I'm sorry. It's just that I'm worried about something from work and it's got me thinking."

"We can head back to the house so you can check on your work."

"No. No. No, it's fine. I just need a little distraction."

She smirked, realizing where you were heading. A high end lingerie store that was quite private. The clientele were the rich and famous and there would provide total privacy. The two of your took turns trying out various lingerie sets. In the end, both of you came out with several bags from the store.

"I want to go out for dinner to this new restaurant."

You said after arriving home.

"What kind is it?"

"I'm not too sure but it seems quite fancy. I've been told that it's tastes amazing and that it also serves your favorite."

"You could started off with them serving my favorite!"

She rushed upstairs to pick out something to wear. You followed along and decided to wear a (suit/dress) that matched with the dress that Katie had decided to wear for the evening. Katie and you decided to wear some light makeup for the evening and soon headed out to the 'restaurant.'

"Wait, where are we going? You're not going to kill me, right?"

She said it so seriously that it made you laugh. You hand't realize how tense you had been until your shoulders loosened.

"Of course not! You seriously need to stop with your true crime obsession."

She rolls her eyes and gently smacks your arm.

"Not in a million years. I'll stop my true crime obsession when I'm dead."

"Of course, love."

You parked the car and led her down to the cabin that you had rented for the night. She didn't say anything as you led her inside to find most of it decorated in lights along with petals on the floor. The table had been set up with the food and a small cake in the middle.

"What's all this?"

"Just a small surprise. I wanted you to surprise you."

"I'm certainly surprise. I really love what you did. Thank you."

You pulled out the chair for her and sat down in front of her before uncovering the dishes.

"God. This smells delicious and the cake looks so good. You truly know the way to my heart, love."

You smiled and the two of you soon started to eat. The cake was cut after dinner had been finished and you decided it was now or never. You. pulled out the ring and got down on one knee, holding the box open."

"Katie, these couple of months with you have been the best months of my life. There's no doubt in my mind that you're the one for me. You're the ray of sunshine in my life and the rock that keeps me together. I love everything about you and I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. I know I'm not perfect and I wish I could be but I promise to be the one who's always there to support you, make you laugh and anything else you might need. Will you marry me, Katie?"

Katie was having a hard time holding back her tears.

"Yes! A million times yes!"

You pulled out the ring from the box and slid it on her finger before standing up. Katie stood up as well, wrapping her arms around your neck and pulling you in for a deep kiss. Neither of you pulled away until you needed to breathe.

It only took a couple of seconds to catch your breath before her lips crashed into yours again. You carried her, letting her legs wrap around your waist and took her to the bedroom. It was filled with rose petals on the floor and candles that were turned on as you walked in.

Katie had been too busy making out with you to even notice the way it had been decorated. Clothes were taken off and throw on the floor as you undressed each other. The rest of the night, the cabin was filled with loud moans until the two of you passed out from exhaustion. Nothing else in the world mattered as you two slept.
