「 Chapter 7: An Upside Down Situation 」

Lia kept a tight hold onto one of her katanas, her other hand held tightly onto Thomas's. They followed after the short haired girl they had just met as she lead them farther into the building. Passing through a large space filled with lamps and tents that were filled with people.

Lia looked around feeling uneasy as they gave her and the others suspicious looks and blank stares. Almost silenty judging them and she wasn't enjoying it.

"Come on, keep up." The girl told them. "Jorge wants to meet you."

Going up a set of metal staircases, Thomas still held tightly onto Lia's hand as he questioned the short haired girl. "Who's Jorge?"

"You'll see." She simply answered.

At this point, Lia was beginning to be more and more annoyed with the raven haired girl. It was one thing that she wasn't answering their questions but the way she answered them wasn't making things easier.

"Sound like bullshit to me." Lia stated, rolling her eyes at the girl's worthless replies.

With a chuckle the girl in front turned her head, eyes narrowing at the beautiful blonde girl. "Spunky aren't you, Blondie?"

Lia didn't like her one bit. There was just something wrong with the situation. She could feel it.

"I'm glad you noticed." The others were either amused or terrified of the tension between the two girls. Minho sharing a look with Newt as they both smirked. Lia wasn't one to be messed with and they were all well aware of that. The strangers that surrounded them had been staring as they walked causing their anxiety on the matter to rise.

"No one's come out of the Scorch in a long time. You've just got him curious." The girl stated looking behind her at the couple. Her eyes trailed down to their intertwined hands—the gesture not going unnoticed by the two. "And me, too."

Pursing her lips, Lia turned to see a few men had situated themselves from behind their group. Menacing grins painted on their faces. A face someone with a devious plan would make. Newt and Frypan seemed to have noticed this too.

"Anyone else starting to get a bad feeling about this place?" Newt uttered, low enough for the group to hear.

"Yeah, I don't trust this." Lia admitted, looking around the area once more.

"Let's just hear him out. See what he has to say." Thomas told the two as they moved onto a different part of the building. He was just as anxious as the other, only he didn't show it as to not worry the group any more than they already were.

Going up another set of steps, they finally enter what seemed to be an office. Faint sounds of a man speaking on the radio could be heard but Lia couldn't seemed to figure out what he was saying. "Jorge, they're here."
