Herobrine awakes suddenly from a deep sleep, sitting up in bed, panting heavily. His chest rises and falls while glistening with sweat, his heartbeat pounds inside of his ears. He looks around frantically for Pandora, calming down when he sees her laying beside him, still fast asleep.

Herobrine's POV

I breath a sigh of relief and lay back down on the bed. 'It was just a dream.' I turn my body and look at Pandora's sleeping figure. In my mind I see her the way she was in my dream. Dead, lifeless, bleeding out. My heart begins to race once more, a sinking feeling in my stomach tells me that Steve is in the Nether. Unable to control myself I let out a cry of frustration and anguish. Suddenly I feel arms wrapped around my chest, I look to my left to see Pandora hugging me. 'Dammit, I must have woken her up.' Seeing her awake and moving though, calms me down. Reassuring me that it was just a nightmare. She is fine. "Nightmare?" I nod my head in answer to her question. "Do you want to talk about it?" "No. I want to forget about it. It-It was nothing. . ." "Your scream did not sound like it was nothing. Please tell me what is troubling you." I let out a deep heavy sigh and tell her about the nightmare. Tears begin to sting in my eyes as I do so, not wanting to remember the horrible dream. "I-I dreamt that. . .that. . .my brother Notch killed you while I was restrained by chains. I-I could do nothing but watch as he stabbed you through the chest with his sword, then yanked it out of you. Y-You fell lifeless before me, that's when I woke up." I look away from her, ashamed of myself for being scared by a stupid dream. But it felt so real.

I feel the gentle touch of her hand on my cheek, I turn to look at her. Concern is written all over her face. "D-Do you think it could be an omen?" I sigh heavily and run a hand through my hair, unsure of how to answer her question. I should be honest with her. "I don't usually put much merit in dreams but. . ." My thought trails off as I think back to Pandora in my dream, how helpless I was to do anything to save her. Clenching my fists and jaw I grab Pandora by her shoulders, pulling her into a tight hug. Afraid to let go, fearing that she would disappear before my eyes. "EV-EVEN IF THAT DREAM WAS A PORTENT OF THINGS TO COME I WON'T LET IT PASS!! I WILL FIGHT WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE TO KEEP IT FROM HAPPENING!" Pandora's voice is a soft whisper. "Th-The future is always changing, nothing is ever truly set in stone."

Taking deep breaths I calm down, loosening the hug I have her in. "You're right." The sinking feeling in my stomach worsens as I can sense Steve drawing nearer to the castle. I accidentally think out loud. "He's getting closer. . ." "Who is getting closer?" Pandora asks me curiously. In a flat tone I reply "My brother. . .Steve. He wants to take you from me. The last thing I want to do is fight my own twin brother. I would like to avoid it if possible. . .However he's no longer the brother I once knew. He's a puppet to Notch now, not family."

"Puppets only do what their masters tell them, all you need to do is cut the strings Notch is controlling him with." I scoff at this. "Easier said than done, trust me I've tried before. He is to far gone to be saved. He will be here soon." She looks at me with those huge blue eyes, fear in them. "Wh-What are you going to do Hero?" I sigh heavily. "I-I don't know. . .But I have to go meet him."

She hugs me, I hug her back. Tears run down her cheeks. "Wh-What if you don't come back?! What if he beats you?! What if--" I reassuringly kiss her on the forehead. "Have faith in me Pandora. I will come back to you when the battle is over, I promise." "H-How will I know when the battle is over though?" I smile. "I'll send a servant to go fetch you. In the meantime I want you to go to the library in the lower level of the castle. That room is made of bedrock, nothing can break it. When you get there, shut and lock the door behind you. My servant will have a key to get in. There is a secret hatch in the floor, under a piece of red wool carpet, hide in the small room down there. Only I know of it's existence. All I ask is that you not touch any of the objects in there. Okay?" She smiles up at me and nods her head. "Now go, I must face my brother." I watch as she runs down the corridor and takes the stairs leading to the lower levels before going to my armory grabbing my enchanted diamond armor, enchanted diamond sword, enchanted shield and other various things. I order my servants to not intervene in the battle unless I tell them to.
