Somewhere in the middle of the night,
Among the nocturnal beasts ,
I woke up to see the heinous sight
To listen to the savages call their prey to feast.
Oh, they started to howl,
And somehow I started to grasp for air,
Despite the closed window, I heard them yowl,
Hiding beneath my white bed sheet, I tore my hair in despair.
The voice was deafening,
And I was exasperating,
Something warned me of an impending danger,
Something that made me petrified was my conscience’s murder.
My heart took over,
I threw my hands into the sky,
closing my eyes, once again,
I sent up a prayer to God.
Sweat trickled down my brow,
heaving a sigh,
I realized it was a dream,
Hoping never to live the ordeal.
