I ring the bell on my bike in front of Emma's house. I know she's not going to hear but I always do it before I enter her house, unannounced. I kick off my shoes as I enter through the door.  "Mom, I'm home!" I shout, knowing that Mary Margaret isn't even home from work yet.  At that, I hear the pitter patter of feet barreling down the stairs.

"Hey, loser.  Grab the ice cream and let's go!" She shouts at me, as I'm already heading towards the fridge. She runs back up stairs, her blonde ringlets chasing after her.  I grab the Reese's peanut butter ice cream and two spoons out of the drawer. I rush up stairs and turn left towards Emma's room.  "Slow poke! Come on! You're gonna miss it!" She exaggerates as I jump on her bed.

"Shut up," I say, rolling my eyes and opening up the tub of ice cream. She snatches one of the spoons out of my hands and we begin to dig in. I watch as she shoves a massive bite in her mouth. "You eat like a child," I remark, shaking my head and smiling.

"Hey," she says, nudging my side. "I still live at home, my favorite show is "The Suite Life On Deck".... I am  a child." We smile at each other, only for her to say, "Now, shut up. It's starting."

Riverdale had been Emma's favorite show, ever since it came out. Every day that it was on she would drag me over here and yell in my ear how Cheryl was such a bad ass, and how Archie was super hot. Season three is now out and Emma can't stop smiling like a giddy child. A few moments in and Luke Perry enters the screen. "I can't believe he-" she knew what I was going to say. So instead of listening to me, she put her hand over my mouth. After receiving the news that Luke Perry had died, Emma was a wreck. She locked herself in her room and the only person she would allow in was me. So I would hold her and tell her it was going to be alright.

She hadn't removed her hand so on instinct, I licked it, flicking my tongue all over the palm of her hand.

She quickly takes her hand back and wipes it on her pants. I laugh and she gives me a stern look. "You are disgusting!" She says, slapping my ass.

"I know," I smile. She rolls her eyes and returns her focus back to the television in her room. But my eyes stay on her. Her green eyes move back and forth across the TV screen and her breathing is slow and calm. The corner of my lip twitches upward and Emma looks back at me.

"Huh?" She asks, sucking ice cream off her spoon.

I shake my head, "Nothing." She just nods until a few moments later when she mutes the TV.

She nuzzles into her crossed arms as she looks at me, her black pupils growing. I smile at her and she pokes my elbow. "How are things between you and Daniel?"

"Eh.... He apologized for telling his friends that we'd done  it." I sigh as the memory of him trying to say he was sorry to me in the hallway invades my head.

"So you guys still haven't done it?" She asks, her eyes looking worried and her teeth sucking in her lip. I shake my head and scoop another large bite into my mouth.

"How 'bout you and Neal?" I ask with my mouth full. I exaggerate on his name, making Emma roll her eyes. She knows that I hate him. The day she announced they were dating I had said, "his beanie is too suspicious."

"We tried to, but he just wasn't feeling it... Besides, his mom opened the door as I was pulling my shirt back on."

I roll my eyes. "You're an idiot," I say with a smile.

"Yes, but I'm your favorite idiot," she corrects. We begin to talk, the TV show long forgotten. She can watch it when it comes out on Netflix.  The conversation is nothing but small talk about boys and college.
