"How was it?" Emma asks as she sits beside me in fifth period. I shake my head, trying not to remember how I made Daniel cry.
"It was... well, what do you think?" I ask, resting my head in my hands on the desk. She rests her hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me.
"Hey, look on the bright side," she says, trying to cheer me up. I lift up my head, peering into her sparkling eyes.
"And what's that?" I ask intrigued. She smirks and licks her lips.
"I get to keep you," she whispers seductively as Mr. Phillips enters the room and makes his way to his long wooden desk to take attendance. As the bell rings, Lonnie walks in the door.
"Miss Fa, late as usual," he says, nodding in her direction, his accent thick since it's the end of the day and we're all so tired.
"Sorry," Lonnie says, insincerely. She makes her way to the desk in front of me and sets her stuff down before walking over to Mr. Phillips' desk. "Can I go to the restroom?" she asks, flipping her long curly hair to the other side, her peach tank top definitely breaking the dress code and I'm just itching to make a sarcastic remark.
He sighs and looks up to meet her dark rich eyes. "Seriously? What were you doing within the five minute break time?" he asks, crossing his arms against his desk.
She leans into the wood desk, pressing her palms harder against the hard surface. She leans down, trying to show him her cleavage. He rolls his eyes, looking away from the brunette seductress-wanna-be. "Look, I've had a very stressed day Mr. Phillips. May I please just use the restroom?" she asks in a sweet and almost innocent sounding tone.
"No," he replys, looking Lonnie in the eyes, watching as she writhes with hate for him.
"Ugh," she comments, rolling her eyes as she makes her way to the desk in front of me, slamming her chair into the front of my desk, knocking my pencil off and adjusting all of my things.
I roll my eyes and look towards the blonde beauty that had watched the entire thing just as I had did. "Bitch," I whisper under my breath, motioning towards Lonnie.
She whips around, staring me deep in the eyes. If looks could kill, I'd be on the floor right now. "I heard that you little-" she begins to belittle me as Emma steps in.
"Alright, Lonnie, shut up!" Emma infuriates.
Lonnie turns to Emma, "Nobody asked you, you unwanted piece of sh-" Mr. Phillip interrupts us, slamming his palms against Lonnie's desk. Apparently he had already started class. Who knew.
"Ladies, outside. Now," he growls, and I know it only ruins Lonnie's attitude even more.
We stand up, all three of us, and make our way out of the classroom and I only catch a few whispers from the other students. We make it out to the hallway and Emma snuggles into my side as Lonnie leans against the metal lockers. We sit, waiting for Mr. Phillips speech.
"What's going on with you?" he asks, raising his eyebrows.
"Nothing, sir," I say truthfully, because nothing is going on. Even if that bitch Lonnie thinks otherwise.
"Actually, something is going on," she says, trying to sound like she was the victim of some heinous crime.
I roll my eyes as Emma whispers something incoherent. "Well, what is it?" he asks.
"I was trying to go back to my seat, completely minding my business, but when I sat down, Regina had whispered something rude and dirty in my ear," she sniffled. She should try out for the drama productions, she is so good at putting on an act.
