A twist in an average girls story[[Completed]]

Lets go on a date

I sat down and sighed, my legs instantly feeling better.

"You know shopping is fun and all, but why do you guys need to do so much stuff?" I said motioning to the bags surrounding us.

"For us? Most of this is yours!" Pepper smiled. My eyes widened.

"Why?"

"You needed more shoes and nice clothes, and regular clothes too. But there were so many amazing sales for the dresses I got you. " Pepper gushed and took a sip of her lemonaide. I sat there and pursed my lips.

"You realize you bought only high heels and wedges right?" I asked. She noded her head animatedly, "Pepper I'm happy, but you do know that I don't wear wedges or high heels on a regular basis? Or dresses for that matter?" She took in what I said for a minute and nodded her head, "So may I ask why you got so much?"

"Because silly! You deserve nice things!" I smiled and laughed. I heard Natasha gasp. 

"We only have a hour and a half to get ready for our double date! We have to go!" Natasha said and started to gather bags. I giggled and rememberd about the double date they had tonight. Clint and Nat, and Pepper and Tony. My mind went back to that moment the other day.

START-

"Hey Pepps?" Tony asked holding something behind his back.

"Yeah sweety?" She looked up. Tony got 'nervous' and started to shuffle his feet. 

"Well...I was wondering...." He took a bouqet of roses from behind his back, "If you would like to go on a double date with Clint and Natasha tomorrow night." Peppers eyes were filled with happiness as she smelled the roses and kissed him, nodding a yes. I smiled and gagged at the cuteness and the affection.  Tony glared playfilly, "You wanna go squirt?"

"And be a 5th wheel? No thanks." I muttered and continued to watch Degrassi.

"You could invite that one kid, what was his name? Jr?" I felt my cheeks flush and I looked down.

"He's a jerk and an asshole, why would I want to associate myself with him?" I muttered and paused the TV.

"Psh! Please! You likeee hiimmm!" Tony urged me on and plopped down on the couch next to me.

I rolled my eyes, "Be in denial all you want sweetheart, but I give you 2 months before you and him start to date."

I raised my eye brow, "I'm allowed to date?"

His face flushed, "I never said that..." He grumbed.

I jumped up, "Yes you did! Woo!" I screamed and ran outside, "I'M ALLOWED TO DATE!" I screamed and ran back inside. I smirked, "See! Now look what you started!" I giggled and punch him in the arm playfully.

"You wanna play?" He asked. My eyes widened.

"Dad I swear if you start to tickle me I'll tell you on you!"

We rushed inside the loft, I carried all the bags, telling them to go ahead and get ready. I didn't want them to be late. Clint and Tony told me all about what they were planning. There was this new restuarant, that was apparently very popular, very  expensive, and very romantic. Pepper had been gushing about wanting to go one day just to try it. She fully knew that Tony could afford it, but she was still all about sales and being moderetly cheap. She still refuses to buy milk ober $3.00, well except for soy milk that she gets for me. But it seems like  when it comes to me she spares nothing. I threw all the bags on my bed and went to say hi to Toke who jumped up in my arms excitedly. Smiliing widely she licked my face. 

"Hii Toke." I cooed and rubbed her head. 

"Hey there juice box!" Steve chirped and pulled me into a hug. I smiled at the feeling of warmth and comfort I got when he hugged me.

"Heya bro!" I said while inhailing his scent. I did this every time I gave him a hug, no matter what he always knew how to make me happy.

"So since everyone else is going out tonight-"

"Wait where are Thor, Loki, and Bruce going?"

"Thor and Loki are gonna go visit asgard until tomorrow afternoon, and Bruce has to go to someplace in Africa for the week." I nodded, "Anyway I figured you and me could hang out."

"Sounds fun, you can help me put away all this stuff." I said while walking into my room and motioning to all the bags on my bed.

"What's it them?"

"Dresses, and shoes." I grumbled and walked back out into the kitchen to feed Toke and grab some water.

"I feel like that might take awhile, so after that we can have our away little date night." He joked.

I laughed, "Sounds good, we can go to that small cafe and then to a movie. You can pay cause you're gonna be a gentleman like that."

"Of course! And that's what big brothers are for." I smiled at his last statement.

"Marissa!" I heard Pepper yell.

"Coming!" I yelled back and jogged to Tony and Peppers room, "What's up?" I asked.

"Tony says that I need to wear this dress." She motioned towards a ahort red off the shoulder dress, "But I want to wear this one!" She held up a longer black dress. It was a simple little black dress. 

"The red one, it's sexier!" I said.

She started to pout, and Tony came bounding out of the bathroom looking accomplished. He looked very handsome wearing his nice expensive suit and smelling like cologne. I felt a pang in my chest, my parents never went out like that...

"Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou!" Tony cheered and hugged me. I laughed and patted his back.

"Ok ok ok, now finish getting ready so you guys arent late!" 20 minutes later everyone was off, and Steve and I were in my room starting to pull things out of bags and lay them on my bed while Toke laid on the floor and chewed on her bone.

"Did you pick any of these dressed out?" Steve asked while holding up a cute strapless red dress.

I shook my head, "Pepper just sent me into the dressing room and threw clothes at me and had me show her. Then she would grab them and hand them to Nat, and I guess she liked all of them on me." 

Steve chuckled and started to take the shoes out of the boxes for me, "You never have to worry about nice clothes ever again!"

"Right? My only issue is that I'll have no place to wear any of them."

"Don't worry. I'm sure Pepper will make up excuses just so you will. Like a giant bbq or something, and she'll say how you should wear this dress because you want to look a growing young women." He said trying to mimick her voice.

I giggle, "Now, now Mr. Rogers. That is very mean!" I joked. He playfully bumped into me and started handing me hangers. Another 20 minutes or so and we were done and ready to eat.

"Where do you want to go?" I asked Steve while I tried to find something to wear other then sweat pants.

"Where ever the lady wants to go." He said.

"Theres a small cafe down the stree." I said while pulling out some skinny jeans and a long sleeve shirt. It was getting cold out, and I didn't want to freeze.

"I know this really nice resturant in time square. We can always go there." Steve suggested.

"Oh I see how it is, this is a dateeee." I joked.

"It is! Because you told me you've never had a proper date, or a date in general. So I'll take you on one, but at the end of the night I'm not hoping for a kiss, I'm hoping for a thankyou for the amazing date." I looked at him and smiled. Even if we aren't blood related, my big brother is awesome.
