i sit on my suitcase as we patiently wait outside of the airport. our uber driver was three minutes late, and i was tired. it was one in the morning, and we just arrived in florida.

"it's so hot." i grumble to myself, pulling off my hoodie.

soon, the uber arrives, and we climb inside. we had to order two ubers, because we all wouldn't have fit inside.

once we arrive to the hotel, i immediately grab sam and i's hotel room. turns out, josh and chase are staying in the room across from us, which is good news for me.

"i wanna take you out." sam says once i get out of the shower. "where?" i ask him.

he shrugs his shoulders, "we're going out tomorrow to the beach. i wanna take you on a date tonight. we can go to the boardwalk, and get some pizza or something. i don't know- i just want to be with you." he says.

a smile forms on my lips and i nod my head. "okay, yes. we'll go on a date tonight."

he gives me a toothy smile, "yay!" he cheers to himself.

soon enough, we exit the hotel room, instantly bumping into chase and josh. "hey, bros." i greet the two as sam intertwines our fingers. josh's happy expression turns to hurt once he sees my hand in sam's.

i frown to myself as we walk down the hallway. "you okay?" sam asks me. i look up at him, nodding my head with a smile. "yeah, i'm fine."

he smiles back, pressing his lips against my temple. we walk into the opened and empty elevator, "so, what are we doing today?" i ask.

"we can pretty much do anything we want today, so we're going skateboarding." chase says, his eyes glued to his phone screen. i nod my head, "seems fun."

"you know how to skate?" josh asks as the elevator stops to the lobby floor. i nod my head, a proud smile forming on my lips. "yes, sir. sam and i learned together, i have scars from when we learned."

sam laughs at the memory, "she's almost as good of a skater as i am." sam says.

i roll my eyes, elbowing his chest lightly. "i am better than you."

after skating all day, we got food. "i am so hungry." chase keith grumbles, as he takes a bite of his hamburger.

i laugh to myself, "me, too."

sam nudges my arm with his elbow from besides me, my head turns into his direction. "can we talk later?" he asks.

i nod my head, "yeah, sure."

after we eat, we take the rental car and drive back to the hotel. the group and i part ways, and sam and i make our way back to the hotel room. chase and josh travel closely behind us as we walk down the hallway.

"see you guys later." i wave at the two boys.

they wave back, and sam and i walk back into the hotel room. sam sighs as he takes a seat on the bed. "i know josh likes you." he says.

my eyes widen as i stop in place. "what?"

"you didn't think to tell me?" he asks, putting his phone on the nightstand. i shake my head, "no, honestly. i didn't want to be the cause of anything or have you two stop being friends." i tell him. "how did you find out?" i ask.

he plugs his phone into his charger, looking up at me. "chase fucking told me." he says.

i purse my lips, "are you mad at me?" i ask him, slowly walking over to take a seat next to him. "well, kind of. my friend- one of my good friends, likes my girlfriend!" he exclaims, standing up from the bed.

he brings his hands up to his hair in pure anger and starts to tug on the roots. "i'm just pissed off, because seeing that he likes you- what if you like him, too?"

i shake my head, "sam, you don't have to worry about that-"

"but, i do! what if i do something wrong and we're fighting, and you run to him after."

my eyebrows pinch together, "you don't have to worry about that. i love you!" i argue.

he shakes his head, "i need to be alone right now. i'm going on a drive."

"sam, no!" i protest, standing up to him. "no, just leave me alone, kylie." he says, rolling his eyes and exiting the hotel room.

the next few chapters are very emotional, and i lowkey cries in the midst of writing.

also!!! i got my permit and i'm so happy and i've been driving lately

(should've gotten it a while ago but i'm lazy)
