I wake up to a knock at the door. "Tom! We gotta go!" I sit up immediately. Tom comes out of the bathroom and opens the door.
"Tom!" I say through gritted teeth. I get up and rush to the bathroom. I lean my ear against the door and listen to the conversation.
"H-hey Jake." He stutters.
"You're not ready. We gotta be at the airport in an hour." It's muffled but I can still hear clearly.
"I-I'll be ready soon." I can't help but chuckle at how nervous he gets around my dad.
"Ok, I'm gonna go wake up Rain." I widen my eyes and panic.
"Uh, I think she already went downstairs." Tom covers. I can just see his face. My dad probably doesn't buy the lie.
"Alright, I'll just go back to my room." I sigh in relief and hear the door close. I hear footsteps and the door opens.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know he was gonna come." He frantically apologizes.
"Why didn't you wake me. I have to get ready." I glare.
"I'm sorry." He looks sincere.
I sigh. "It's ok." I walk closer to him and give him a hug. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him.
"What was that for?" He asks putting his hands around my waist.
"Oh nothing." I kiss him again. "I better get back to my room and get ready." I smile.
"Ok." He nods and let's me go.
I go back to my room to showe and get dressed. I didn't unpack so it didn't take much time to be ready. I stick my hair up and brush it neat. It's how I usually have it if I don't wear a hat or a fancy outing like last night.
There's a knock at my door. I drop my bag and go to answer it. "Morning dad." I let him in.
"Morning. How did you sleep?" He asks sitting on the desk chair.
I freeze for a second before going back to closing my bag. "Good, did you."
"Yeah, I did." I look over to him and he looks suspicious. "Did you have a nice date with Tom?" He asks. I widen my eyes.
"W-What?" I stutter.
"This morning I went to Toms room and I saw you run over to the bathroom. I also remember Tom telling Jacob about him asking you on a date." He crosses his arms and looks expressionless.
"Uh..."
"I'm fine with it Rain. I've been pushing you two together ever since you met." I sigh in relief.
"Really?" I ask sitting on the bed and hug one of my knees to my chest, he nods. "Thank you."
"Do you like him?" He asks coming over to sit next to me. I look down and blush. "Is that a yes?" He smiles knocking into me with his shoulder.
I chuckle. "Yeah."
"In the 20 years I've known you I've never seen you like how you are with Tom. Jack, don't get me started. I hated when you were with him." I cut him off.
"I know you made that very clear." I roll my eyes.
"Yeah I did that on purpose. But it's true. You're different with Tom and I like seeing you like that." He puts his arm around my shoulder.
"Thanks." I lean into the hug.
"Now we gotta go." He gets up and grabs my bag for me. I leave the room keys on the TV stand and follow him out. Tom walks out of his room and I decide to freak him out and kiss him. He kisses back for a second before pushing me away.
