RAIN

"He's almost here!" I screech as we ride in the car to pick Tom up at the airport.

"Yes and stop screaming your giving me a headache." My dad says rubbing his forehead as we stop. Against his wishes I screech again and race to get out. "Rain go slower!"

It's too late. By the time I've heard his plea I've gotten light headed and start to fall. Luckily one of his bodyguards Dave was there to catch me.

"Thanks." I give him a guilty smile. He nods with a smile and tells me to be careful from now on.

When my dad gets out he comes right up next to me and ushers me inside. Ever since I got worse he's been overprotective again. It's understandable and a little repetitive. Sure there are some things I shouldn't do anymore but I can't help it if I'm excited. I haven't seen my boyfriend in almost a month. He's had some things come up that made him have to go all over to these random places. But he's on his way now. He should be going through customs.

I can't stop smiling as we walk into the airport and wait for Tom. I see cameras flash and people start to swarm but I don't care. All I care about is the mop of brown hair and brown eyes of the man I see running towards me.

I feel the need to run to him but know I'll get a scolding against if from everyone I know. So I just take cautious steps closer as tears puddle my eyes. I'm cliche enough to put my hand over my mouth as he finally makes it to me.

"Love," He drops his bags and picks me up and spins me around. "I missed you." I let a happy sob escape my throat and shake in his arms. For some reason this visit feels special.

"I missed you too." He puts me down and pulls away for a second to kiss me. I kiss back immediately and keep one arm around him at all times as he grabs his bags again and we walk towards the car.

"Jake." Tom says to my dad.

"Tom." My dad nods with a smirk almost as if he knows something I don't. I'm getting suspicious. I look to Tom seeing his face with a comfortable smile. If this was something to do with him he'd have that nervous face he always makes and he'd be blushing.

Dave takes Toms bags and puts them in the back of the car as we all get in. I don't let go of Toms hand the whole way home. I lean against his shoulder and I feel him kiss my head.

"I love you." I say looking to him placing my chin on his shoulder.

"I love you too." He smiles and kisses my forehead.

"You two are cheesy." My Dad makes a disgusted look but I don't even bother to tell him off. I'm just content with Tom next to me.

Tom comes with me to chemo like always whenever he's here and helps me feel better like always. When we get home I go straight to sleep. Tom stages and watches a movie with me, well, he watches the movie I barely get through the previews.

On Saturday I'm feeling the best I've felt on a saturday after chemo. I get up feeling energized and wanting to do something. Tom is still asleep when I get up so I grab my laptop and write some random things. A few chapters for one book and some more for another.

I'm smiling at my screen as I'm startled by Tom's voice. "Morning love." I love his voice in the morning.

"Morning." I say still smiling and closing my laptop so I can cuddle up next to him.

"What were you just doing?" He wraps his arms around me and kisses my head.

I bite my lip and stay quiet for a second. "I have to tell you something."
