"Rain, you have to eat something." Maggie nags me.
"Not hungry." I deadpan not moving from my side.
"I don't care, you are going to eat something. Either your favorite or I pick something for you and you hate it." She says I can just see her scolding face and crossed arms now.
I roll over and sit up. "Cheeseburger and fries?" I ask reluctantly. She nods with a sympathetic smile before calling a nurse. I sigh and open my drawer of hats and pick out a new one. I'm just about to turn on the TV when I hear my phone ring. I brighten immediately. "Hey dad!"
"Hey kiddo." He says. I can tell he's happy to hear my voice.
"How the tour?" I ask laying back and getting comfortable.
"Really good. We have one more interview before we head off to our next location." He answers.
"Do you know where you're going?" I ask looking over to the nurse and Maggie. "And ranch too please." I say before the nurse leaves. She nods before going up to the cafeteria.
"What was that?" He asks.
"Just my dinner order." I shrug.
Maggie looks over to me, "Tell him I say hi." She smiles.
"Maggie says hi."
"Hi Maggie." I chuckle and tell her he says hi. "So what are you up to tonight?" He says grunting a little, he most likely sat down.
"Ryan and Blake said they might stop by later." I say. "But it's getting late and I'm tired so that's probably not going to happen."
"Sounds fun. Anything else?"
"Not tonight really. I'll probably watch a movie or something." I shrug as my dinner comes wheeling into the room.
"Let me guess... Day After Tomorrow?" He asks knowing he's right.
"Shut up." I say to his teasing.
"I know it's your favorite movie. I just don't get why." He says confused.
"Because Dennis Quaid is in it." I say with a smirk even though he can't see me.
"Ouch, that hurt." He says fake offended.
"And you're in it." I chuckle. He joins in and were silent for a few seconds. "Could I watch the interview from here?" I ask changing the subject.
"Yeah, I'll send you the link." He says. I hear a muffled, 'hey we have to go.' from an unknown voice. "I have to go. I'll call you tomorrow."
"Ok, don't forget to send the link." I say as a reminder.
"I won't. I love you."
"Love you too." I smile. "Bye." He says bye before hanging up.
"Eat." Maggie says as soon as I put my phone down. I roll my eyes and take a fry. "You good. Can I go?" She asks grabbing her bag.
"Yeah I'm fine." I smile to reassure her.
"Ok, I'll bring the girls by tomorrow to see you." She smiles before kissing my head then going out the door and shutting it behind her.
My phone beeps a few minutes later with the link to the interview. I pull it up and set it up so I can watch while I eat.
"Please welcome Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland!" The announcer says into a microphone. The crowd goes wild as my dad and Tom walked on stage.
They ask questions like how it was on set and how it was to work with each other. Of course my dad went into this deep answer like he always does and added a bit of sarcasm. Toms answer was about the same just shorter and more laughing. There was a question that I really paid attention to.
