Jisoo woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside their apartment window, singing the songs of the morning, thankfully coming at a reasonable time. She felt a lazy smile tug on her features, as she ran a hand through her messy locks, remembering the night's events.

She was spent. Blissfully, wonderfully, perfectly exhausted from her night with Jennie.

God, they went at it all night long.

Like usual.

Jisoo's smile only widened when she thought about how far they'd come from the previous year. After all that had happened, she took comfort in the knowledge that everything had returned to equilibrium.

She and Jennie deserved as much.

She turned to the muscled goddess in her thoughts, surprised to find her still in bed. She was clutching her pillow in her sleep, little beads of sweat concentrated on her forehead, her usually angelic face pulled into a grimace.

Jisoo's heart dropped in her stomach.

Jennie must've been having another one of those rare nightmares. Jisoo would sometimes wake to the sounds of her sniffles as she whispered, "I'll find you again, Jisoo."

Jennie's recurring nightmares often involved dying, losing Jisoo suddenly, abruptly, with no rhyme or reason. She'd clutch at her abdomen, as if that was where she'd been shot, and writhe, moaning Jisoo's name in a haunting fashion.

Jisoo would wake her up with kisses, holding her until she ceased to move and just gave into her breathing, snuggling into Jisoo's embrace, and sleeping soundly for the rest of the night.

Jisoo moved to do the same, going to brush her lips against Jennie's temple, when virid eyes shot open to regard her with what could only be described as a shocked glance.

"Jen!" Jisoo hissed in surprise, recoiling. "You're awake?"

Jennie groaned in response, nodding. "I am."

"Oh my god. Warn a girl, why don't you?" Jisoo mumbled. "I thought you were having a nightmare."

Jennie didn't really seem to care- and that was when Jisoo realized she wasn't really herself. She wasn't all...there.

Worried, Jisoo moved a few stray locks that clung to her face. "Baby?" She whispered, noticing how pale the usually tan girl looked.

"M' fine." Jennie blinked, realizing how terrified Jisoo looked.

"Did you get any sleep?" Jisoo felt suddenly guilty, she'd slept like a baby in Jennie's arms, without any regard for Jennie. Then again- Jennie had done her fair share of...performing, that night. She was just as blissed out and tired as Jisoo when they finally curled up together under the sheets.

"Mmm." Jennie grumbled, voice hoarse. "I woke up just an hour ago."

"Why?" Jisoo pressed, feeling Jennie's forehead. "Baby, you're hot."

"I know..." Jennie tried a smirk, and it came out as a grimace.

"Quit joking!" Jisoo huffed, ignoring Jennie's slight smile at her concern.

"Jisoo, it's a stomach ache." Jennie shrugged.

Jisoo didn't look convinced. "You didn't go running this morning." She argued. "It must be serious."
