Part II
"Hey, kiddo, wake up." Seunghyun was standing over his eight year old daughter's bed. The clock beside the bed read: 7:00 AM.
Jisoo rubbed her eyes, smiling faintly at her father's expression.
"Dad?" Jisoo mumbled sleepily. "...wasgoinon?"
Seunghyun chuckled at her slurred words. "You know what day it is?"
Jisoo frowned. "...Tuesday?" She asked, voice high pitched and curious.
Seunghyun grinned. "Well, kid, first of all- it's saturday. But more than that- it's your mom's birthday!"
Jisoo's eyes went wide.
Of course!
She'd made a vase for her mom in art class last week!
"She's sleeping in. She was working on some surgery until late last night." He explained. "But you and I? We've got a little mission."
"A mission?" Jisoo echoed in awe, eyes lighting up with wonder.
Seunghyun Kim was the most fun person Jisoo knew, and he just happened to be her father.
It was like she'd won the lottery with her parents.
"I have a surprise." Seunghyun grinned. "C'mon sleepyhead, put on some shoes and quietly meet me out front."
"Okay!" Jisoo nearly leapt out of bed, racing to find her shoes, nearly stumbling over some art supplies she'd left on the floor from the night before.

In the driveway of their home, all was serene and quiet, save for the beautiful song of birds chirping in the morning.
Until Jisoo stepped outside and, in the spot of her mother's old car, saw a brand new, ridiculously cool luxury SUV.
"Holy shit!" Jisoo grinned, causing her father to chuckle and mutter "language, champ" before letting her soak it all in.
She stood there, eyes wide, mouth open. "Is...is this for mom?" Jisoo asked, unsurely.
It seemed to good to be true.
Seunghyun nodded. "Don't you worry sport, I'm sure we'll get you one when the time comes. But yeah- this one's for mom. But wait, there's more. Why don't you poke your head inside and tell me what you see?" Seunghyun tossed her the keys, watching her excitedly catch them, and make a beeline for the rear doors.
She opened them, and scurried up into the seat. She peered into the car, and gasped.
It wasn't the fine leather upholstery that did it, nor was it the dvd player in the back.
It was the cooler, full of food and drinks, the chips- all the family favorites. Jisoo seemed to have a moment of intense realization as she turned around, peering at Seunghyun, who nodded.
"...are...we..." Jisoo stammered.
Seunghyun beamed at her, happy to have pleased her. "You, me, and mom. No work, no business, just a nice long family road trip. What do you say, kid?"
"You'rethebestdaddyeverandIloveyousomuch!" Jisoo was out of breath, hurling herself into his arms as he laughed and picked her up, kissing her head.
"I couldn't leave you out!" Seunghyun cried. "Now, tell me, you think mom will like this gift?"
Jisoo nodded her head frantically, so much so that it almost fell off.
