The elevator dings. I wonder why Teagan and Rylee are back so early. Teagan walks out of the elevator and faints. Rylee walks out and picks Teagan up and takes her to the sofa.
"She saved my life," Rylee gasped. "What happened?" I worried. "The Tringers, they must have spotted us on the street and followed us. Teagan grabbed my hand and ran before they even got to us," Rylee cried. "She has a new Rec. It's speed."
Kacey and Cannon must have heard us, because they both rose from their rooms in a panic. "What happened!?" Kacey Cried in shock. I tell them everything that Rylee had told me.
"The more she uses her recs the sicker she gets," I concluded. "But that doesn't happen to Rylee or me," Cannon objects. "There must be something else going on. In her brain maybe," Kacey suggests. "That's it. We are taking her to the hospital tonight at midnight," Rylee states.
It has only been 2 hours and is now ten thirty. Rylee is on the floor next to the velvet sofa holding Teagans hand. Kacey is asleep in the white cushion chair next to them. Cannon is of course, raiding the fridge for butterscotch pudding.
"Does Teagan have a fever?" I question Rylee. Rylee puts her free hand on Teagans forehead, then her cheeks. "Yes, it seems to be really high too, Rylee squeaked. "Should we wake Kacey and take her to the Emergency Room?" Cannon asked. "I think we better. It is dark so we should be fine," Rylee trembled.
Rylee lets go of Teagans hand and turns to Kacey. "Kacey, wake up we need to take Teagan to the ER," Rylee whined. Kacey wakes. "What's going on?" She asks. "We need to take Teagan to the ER," I report. "Oh" Kacey breaths.
Kacey gets out of her chair and lays the back of her hand on Teagans cheek. Teagans eyes open slightly and then they shut again. "Call a cab," Kacey demands. Kacey lifts Teagan up and cradles Teagan in her arms. "I said call a cab," She ordered. "No need," I reply. "I called Albert."
We leave through the elevator and enter the lobby of the apartment building. There we see Albert and his hippie bus. "We get to go in that? Cool!" Cannon exclaims.
We all walk out to the bus and get in. "Where to?" Albert asks. "The ER," Rylee whines. "Okay then," Albert responds. We start on the route to the hospital.
Once at the hospital Rylee opens the van door and lets Kacey out. Teagan is still passed out in Kacey's arms. "I hope she's okay," I mutter. Kacey and Rylee enter the hospital with Teagan, Cannon and I stay in the bus with Albert.
