My heart is beating faster than ever before. I don't know how I will live with myself if Teagan is really hurt or sick.
"We need a doctor!" Rylee hollers. We are in a river of doctors. They are trying to take Teagan from me "STOP!" I scream without even thinking. The doctors all take a step back. Rylee touches my arm. "It's okay, you can hand her over," She tries to comfort me.
I hand her over to a handsome young doctor with brown, graying hair. "Whats her name?" He requests. I look at Rylee. She mouths Teagan.
I guess we have to tell him. He needs to get her medical history, and I think her dad would cover for us, all things considering.
"Teagan" I mutter. "Teagan what?" He says with a heavy french accent. "Teagan Harland" I am fuming at this point. Rylee hugs me. "It is going to be alright Kacey. I'm going to go call her dad," She assures.
Rylee walks into a quieter area. "You should come with me," The doctor says. "Uh, Okay," I respond. "What are you, her sister?" The doctor carrying Teagan chimes. "Kind of," I mumble.
"Can you just figure out what is wrong with her?" I demand. "Jeepers, okay," He responds. "What happened?" He questioned. "She ran four miles with a heavy weight on her back," I responded. "Why?" He asked. "Because she wanted to," I reply.
He is starting to ask too many questions. I am not sure how long I can keep doing this.
"Has she seemed stressed lately?" He asked. "Yes" I respond. "I would say she has the flu and is exhausted beyond her strength. Just take her home and allow her to rest," He informed.
"Here is a prescription to help with the fever,"He hands me a prescription. I look at him with relief. "Thank you so much," I thank him. "Take care of your sister," He says as he hands teagan back to me.
My eighty eight pound friend is back in my arms and fast asleep unaware of everything going on.
I wave down Rylee to come with me. "Did he say what's wrong?" She questioned. "She has the flu and is exhausted," I replied. "Okay" Rylee whispers.
We walk back to the hippie bus and begin the ride home. "Do you want to hold Teagan?" I offer Rylee. "Yes please," She whispers. I hand Teagan over to Rylee. She lays in Rylees lap still fast asleep. "Do you really think it's the flu?" Grayson asks me. "I don't really know," I respond.
We pull into the apartment building driveway, Cannon opens the bus door and gets ou, Rylee and Teagan follow. I get out on my side,Grayson and Albert get out the front.
Rylee takes Teagan straight to their room so that Teagan can rest. Grayson starts stress cleaning around the apartment. "Do you want some help?" I offer as Cannon plops down on the sofa.
"No thanks," Grayson responds "Go relax, you deserve it." I walk to my bedroom and doze off in my bed.
