Chapter Fourteen: I Didn't Say That.

POV: Jessica Mason

"JESSICA, GET DOWN HERE, WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE," Chad yelled at me, but I didn't want to leave offline. Me and this boy on Justin.TV had been talking non-stop for about three days. I mean he was kind of sweet, and very polite. I mean... he was sort of, excellent, but not more amazing than Roman. I bit my lip hard contemplating on actually getting off the computer.  I looked to my door then back to the screen, it was the hardest decision in the world. For some reason I couldn't leave this IM.

Dieforyou: Ha-ha, you're so right.

Jesiie677: I'm always right, so what time is it there?

Dieforyou: What are you my stalker now? ;]

Jesiie677: I'm not a stalker, I want to know the time. Let’s compare.

Dieforyou: Well, miss stalker, its 6:30.

Jesiie677: Are you joking?!?! It's that time here. I'm about to head out for school in a second. How old are you Mr.Dieforyou?

Dieforyou: Seriously, we live in the same place! And me too, my twin is yelling for me now. I'll uh, talk to you later Jessica.

Jesiie677: How do you know my name? I mean I never told you it.

Dieforyou: Uh.... I got to go, bye!

Jesiie677: Bye....

That was so weird. How did he know my name? Did I have another stalker over Justin.TV I seriously have to make my web cast private from now on, but whatever for now?

A big meaty hand slapped against the desk before me and I jumped up unexpectedly.

"Jessica! I called you ten minutes ago, if you want to be late again for school then so be it. This is the last time I'm saying anything to you. If you want a ride turn that stupid computer off," His spit got on me when he yelled smoothly into my ear.  I yelped back a gulp and closed the screen down. I had to get a ride from him because my mom still hadn't apologized, and I failed to mention it to my dad. He didn't need to know. And I didn't need my dad mad at her.

However, fear did glisten my eyes as his voice held such rasp in it, and I could tell he could see he had scared me and his face soften. He gave me a half smile and patted me on my back. "Come on.. I'm sorry, but Jessie, there is this girl, and she is just amazing, and I have to meet her... and I don't want to screw it up. Come on, I didn't mean to scare you." My eyes soften a bit, but not all the way. Guilt spread every inch of his face. "Seriously sorry, I'll buy you a Coke, your favorite. Just please don't be scared... Or sad... whichever. I don't like being mean to you."

Once my favorite drink was mention I was on board for anything. A small smile creep across my lips and I opened my mouth so I could speak, "Deal," I walked past him heading out of my room door. Once my foot hit the first step to the stairs I swung my leg over the wood beam. I wanted to try something new. I clenched my thighs tight to the beam and let gravity take its toll. The beam felt like silk through my thighs and hands as I slid down, unnerved. The ride wasn't too long before I felt something jab me in my butt. It hurt a bit, hopefully I wouldn't have a bruise there later on.

I removed my legs from the beam and rubbed my butt and only to have a full hearted laugh from my father from behind me. His laugh warmed me, because it was comforting. I turned around to his figure and a smile lashed across my face and my dimples seeped deeply into my cheeks. "Looks like someone is experimenting with the stairs," I couldn't contain the instant joy that shot through my body at his presence. It felt like I hadn't spoken to him in a long time. It might have been because he had been doing grave yards at the hospital. I just stared at him with that grin taking in his appearance.
