Chapter Eleven: Meeting the Enemy's Brother
I was standing outside of Shane Carter Leday's house. I know what you're thinking: isn't Shane the guy that hates you? You'd be correct; otherwise this vodka wouldn't be drenched inside of my hair at the moment. Why I decided to come to this party was a mystery to me because I don't even like parties in the first place. But that's besides the fact. God, I hate Shane!
I nibble on my fingers sitting down on the curb, waiting for Roman to come get me. I told him before hand that he should have come but no, he didn't want to. He said he had been busy. I think he just didn't want to come. I wouldn't blame him I didn't even want to come. Anesha wanted me to be there with her. I don't even know where the hell she is at the moment. She ditched me to go throw her "cookie" at someone, probably. When she is drunk she is unpredictable.
I sighed leaning my head on the person beside me. No, I had no idea on who this person was, but at the moment I didn't care. They were going to comfort me if they liked it or not. I looked up to them and it was... Shane.... Why? I leaned off of him quickly and scooted over, but he grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to himself. This was not what I liked, he needed to get off. I could just feel my face heating up a brilliant red, and furry radiating my bones.
"Get off of me now," I ordered dramatically pulling away from him. Too bad he was so gosh-damn strong. I bet my weak attempts where amusing to him. He ignored all my signs of trouble with a light hearted chuckle. Oh, that was appealing, but not enough to stop me from pushing at his chest, but he continued to laugh.
"No, I can't because I'm not who you think I am, love." He didn't sound like Shane his!voice was more sweet and lighthearted plus there was an accent, a British accent. Who was this...? I mean seriously because Shane would have never in a million years called me LOVE. I looked him up and down then straight in his pale face.
"Get off," I wasn't going to let him confuse me. He let go this time and smiled apologetically at me. That was weird he was never remorseful when he did something rude and or mean. I stood up and walked across the street to sit on the other side of the curb. I watched his reaction to this; he through his hands up in the air as if he were surrendering.
"Seriously, love! Think about who I could be," He said sitting right across from me; he was trying to keep eye contact but the passing cars didn't help. However, I didn't mind not looking at his beautiful, arrogant, mean, face. He didn't deserve my attention!
"No, leave me alone you, jerk," I yelled from across to him. I turned my head west folding my arms across my chest. Let's face it, I wasn't a mean person. Even when someone did something me, Derek was an exception.
He frown at my insult and it made my lip twitch in excitement; I had brushed against his huge ego. He got up shakily and looked both ways before crossing the street. That's when I notice that he had a change of clothes on. He went from "swagged" out to "prep" boy. Before when he decided to make me into a hard core liquor drink he had on: Dickie Cargos, diamond mine tee shirt - it had a naked girl doing a sexy pose with a diamond in her mouth- and a SnapBack. Now he had on: a sweater vest, boy skinny jeans, and a tight fitting over lay jacket.
"Come on, I know you can tell the difference, love," He said as he sat down next to me, I narrowed my eyes at him and scrunched my nose. I didn't like him calling me that.
"I'm not your love; you know my name so use it," he was really starting to irritate me. It could be heard in my voice because acid was sweeping with each word I pronounced.
"Fine, Jessica, love, I'm not Shane! You should remember me surely, I'm Leo," nothing he just said made any sense to me, and it was clear on my face because he continued, " Shane's twin brother," still nothing in my enormous sized head ringed. He was getting quiet agitated with my lack of knowledge. "I'm am Leo Jeremy LeDay you, dweeb," he finally exclaimed. I obviously used up his patients, but I didn't care.
"Sorry I do NOT know who the hell you are sir; wait I do you're the ditch who made me into a freaking human vodka drink! Now leave me alone SHANE I swear in the last fifteen minutes you've gone insane," I breath heavily pushing him into the patch of grass behind us, ruining his overlay. Mean? Yes, but it was needed.
"Wow, you have a mean push, dude. I swear you never had a temper like this," he commented as he sat back up, unaffected by my aggressiveness. That made my eyes slit and I looked away. Why couldn't people, meaning HIM leave me the hell alone? "You really don't remember me do you? And you seriously have issues with my brother. Look at me, Jessie." He said as her gripped hold to my face and turn my head to face him. I swear if he wasn't that huge I would have punched him for touching me.
"Don't touch me, idiot," I said as I shook my head from his grip and scooting away. This was the second time tonight this guy has irritated the fuck out of me. I looked for any signs of a motorcycle, there wasn't. I was truly hating Roman at the moment. I turned back to this 'Leo' and looked at him, eyes wide. "What do you want," I snapped at him.
"You should listen instead of judging a book by its cover," he gestured to his body then cockly smirked. That little smirk was annoying me. I looked at him dully and waited for him to proceed.
"If you want me to listen you have a couple of minutes till my boyfriend gets here, okay?" I said sharply, then waited again biting my lip, hard. I stared deep into his blue eyes.
"Fine, love. Now where can I begin? You seem to remember nothing of me, so let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm Leo obviously the attractive twin, and we had the same third grade class before I moved to England for about who know eight years it seems. While in the third grade we were the best of friends til' you met Anesha. The girl with the really horrible attitude, I honestly didn't know what you were attracted to with her. I thought, never mind. Doesn't any of this.. ring one bell in that head of yours?" He said as he lightly tapped my forehead with his index finger. I heard myself growl in the response of his touch. I thought I told him not to touch me, and he touched me again. He wanted to get hurt. However, what he was saying was making sense now, but only if I thought back long and hard. That is the only way though. The memories where quiet fuzzy.
"A little when I was in third grade I use to play with a little blond haired boy that had a twin that was rude. But I don't remember his name, I don't even know how I remembered that. But you're saying thats you, and your not just Shane fucking with me?" He casually rolled his eyes to that and scoffed. Why did that irritate me so much?
Calm yourself Jessie. He just wants to talk to you. He isn't going to hurt your. Well not physically, emotionally yes. But Shane isn't so stupid to do anything physical.
"No I'm not, please? Can you atleast listen?" He asked as he took both of my hands, caressingly. That made my stomach do a weird flip. His eyes had captured my attention for a short moment before a midnight blue motorcycle stopped right in front of us.
The rider took off his helmet and his long hair fell to his shoulders. His eyes where unreadable, but you could tell there was something in his face that made me sense he didn't like this image. I pulled my hands back from Leo and stood up carefully. Roman wrapped his long arm around my waist and looked coldly to Leo, eyeing him. "I can listen," he said as husk layered over his sharp tone.
Leo looked unphased and he stood up with a small smirk. He was border then Roman, but the hieght was a difference Leo was shorter about ten to twelve inches, so Roman had him beat there. But even with this as clear as day Leo stood with his gaurd up. My eyes looked between the two. Roman was rigid and his jaw was locked into place. Leo was also but his hands where in tight fist at his hips. Why where they even like this? They obviously knew each other. But what did this have to do with right now?
Roman moved from my side and walked closely to Leo, looking down at him. I watched closely as Roman drew back one of his balled fist, Uh-oh. I just stood there with my eyes wide. Fear was heeping out of my blood stream. This was going ot turn ugly, really fast. I knew that for a fact.
What was going to happen? Dumb question, I knew what was going to happen, but why now?
