Ch.4 A New Place

I quickly turn to see what tapped my shoulder. I fell over while turning. I was scared. I then realized it wasn't Mako, or Adam. It was a somewhat tall man. He looked at me. "Hey hey. Easy, I won't hurt you.." He said as I slowly got up. I stayed quiet, not knowing what to do or say. I looked up at him. "What are you doing out here alone, at this hour?" The man asked me. I then spoke quietly, "I uh.." I didn't know what to say. "Don't worry..you don't have to say if you don't want to." He said. I sigh in slight relief knowing it wasn't Adam or Mako. "So..what is this city called?" I ask, then the man responds, "This is New Empire City.." I somewhat realize the name. "Anyhow. My name is Jay. Jay Alexander Maximus.." Jay said. "My name is Coda.." I say and look away. "Here...come with me, instead of just wandering the streets. But, it's up to you.." Jay says. I wasn't sure about this. But for some reason, I feel like I may know him. I didnt have much of a choice. It was either The demon realm and Adam. Or following this man. I do have my powers if he does try something. But again, I don't know him. "O-okay.." I said a bit nervous. "Don't worry.." He says before walking, and I followed.

(Don't ever follow a stranger like coda is here...also I don't know why I did there meet like this! Good thing I'll be remaking this story!)

We where going to the small house I saw before Jay came up behind me.
-I guess that's his place?-
I think as we stop infront of the house. Jay then opens the door, and walks in. I go in after him, then looked around. It was sort of worn down and dusty. But it was better than sleeping outside. "It's not much..but it's home.." Jay says as he closes the door. "It's nice.." I say quietly and looked at Jay. He shrugs. "So..where are your parents?" Jay asks me. "Well..I don't have a mother anymore, and well, I don't know my father.." I say quietly. "Oh. Alright.." Jay says quietly. "Well, make yourself comfortable..." He says and turns away toward a small kitchen.

(Yeah Coda! Get comfy in a strangers home!! Okay okay I'll stop.)

I then sat down on a couch and stare at my right hand. A small spark comes from the palm of my hand. I didnt notice Jay seeing this. I sigh and close the palm of my hand. The spark disappearing. "So..who was your mother?" Jay asks. "Her name was Zoey. She isn't around, like I've said but it's alright.." I say and sit back.

Jay's eyes slightly widen hearing the name Zoey. -Cant be..- Jay thinks and looks at me.
