Burst walked thorough the dining room and up the stairs to her room, closing the door behind her. She flopped onto her bed face first. She turned around and stared up at the ceiling for a few minutes, wondering what she was going to do. She glanced at the posters above her bed, they were the pictures she had drawn of the Specter Gang when she was in the orphanage, but Stitch wasn't in any of them.
Neither am I. She thought. I'm one of them too.
She grabbed her laptop and opened her art program. She began to sketch the guidelines in red, then she began the outline on a second layer once she was ready. She had just begun Venom's outline when someone knocked on her door.
"Come in!" Burst said, but nobody answered.
Confused, she got up and walked to the door, but nobody was there when she opened it. She glanced down the hallway, but the hall was empty. Then something white stuck to her door caught her eye, it was a note with her name written on the front. She took it off the door and walked back into her room. She sat on her bed, unfolded the note, and read what it said.
"Dear StarBurst,
Please meet me by the lake at 9 pm tonight.
From,
An admirer."
Burst read the note about five times, wondering what she should do.
It sounds sketchy, maybe I shouldn't go. She thought. But last time this happened, I became a Specter.
She smiled slightly. That settles it, I'm going. She thought. He's probably really cute....
She imagined what her secret admirer looked like as she continued her drawing, unaware of a sparkling pair of eyes watching from the hallway.
A few hours later...
Burst put her signature on her artwork and clicked 'save'. She smiled as she admired her work, it showed the Specters all standing on the edge of a cliff, with Grimm in the center of them all.
"Hey, Burst!" She heard Ivory shout from downstairs. "Dinner!"
"Coming!" Burst shouted back. She closed her computer and ran out of her room and down the stairs. She walked into the dining room and took a seat next to Sprite and Stitch. Everyone practically inhaled dinner, except for Stitch, who had to throw his meal in a blender so he could get it past the stitches on his mouth. Dinner was pepperoni and sausage pizza.
Geez, she thought, an amused smile on her face. And they tell ME to slow down.
Then she started to wolf it down like the rest of them, the flavors melted in her mouth, making her drool slightly. Luckily, nobody noticed, or they just didn't care. They soon ate the entire pizza, but it didn't stop there.
"Who wants ICE CREAM??!!" Ivory sang once everyone had finished.
"What's ice cream?" Burst asked, making Ivory's jaw hit the floor.
"HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHAT ICE CREAM IS??!!" He screamed in disbelief. "ICE CREAM IS THE BEST THING ON EARTH!!!"
He quickly scooped ice cream into seven bowls, one for everyone.
"Wow," Burst murmured. "I've never seen him this enthusiastic."
"Ice cream is Ivory's favorite food," Sprite explained as Ivory handed ice cream out to everyone. "He can't live without it."
Burst took a small bite of ice cream, her eyes lit up in amazement. "I can see why he likes it so much!" She said, scooping more of it into her mouth.
