Pic stared out the window of the van, they had been following the brown van for half and hour. He glanced out at the van, he didn't even want to know what they were going to do to Burst. An image of when he first met the stunning girl flashed through his mind, he had been almost too shy to talk to her because he was afraid he was going to screw up in some way and make her dislike him. But she had been kind to him, even after he had fled to his room after Venom embarrassed him.
"Hey guys," Grimm said. "We're here."
Pic glanced out the window, he read the sign hanging from the building.
"Isn't this... Burst's orphanage?" He asked.
Grimm nodded. "I think some of her roommates decided to get revenge on her because she always won fights." He said. "But I guess they didn't think that we would come after them."
"Then let's give them a little surprise." Pic said.
Everyone jumped out of the van and ran towards the building, they ran through the door, but nobody was there. Then a yell rang through the building.
"Burst!" Pic shouted, running towards the sound. He came to a door and flung it open, it opened up to stairs that led down to the basement. He and the other Specters ran down the stairs just in time to see Burst get struck down by a whip from a hideous girl.
"No!" Pic shouted, whipping out his flute. The girl turned, her eyes widened in shock at the sight of the boys.
"Who are you?" She snarled.
Pic raised his mask slightly. "We're the Specter Gang," he said. "And we're here to get our friend back."
Pic raised the flute to his lips and blew a long, high note, making the girls cover their ears. The Specters all lunged at the girls, attacking with no mercy. Venom shot poison everywhere, Sprite attacked with his dagger, Ivory froze people to the ground, and Pic ran to get Burst.
"Oh no you don't!" The hideous girl snarled, raising her arm to strike Pic, but she was stopped as Grimm grabbed her arm.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said. "Otherwise you will meet with a fate that's dark and grim."
The girl's face twisted up in rage. "Who are you?!" She snarled. "What the heck are you talking about?!"
Grimm smiled slightly. "Most people call me Grimm." He said. "And I'm talking about what will happen to you if you don't let us take Burst back to her home."
"What will happen to me?" She snarled. "You can't do anything to me."
Grimm placed his hand on the side of the cloth covering his eyes. "Actually," he said. "I can do something to you that is too horrible to imagine. You choose, temporary torment or torment then death?"
Now the hideous girl looked slightly scared. "Temporary torment?" She asked. "What are you going to do?"
Grimm smiled. "You'll see...." He said, then lifted up one corner of the cloth.
The girl screamed in horror, she covered her eyes and kept screaming. Everyone stopped fighting and saw what was happening. The other girls ran up the stairs, not wanting to be next.
Pic glanced down at Burst, she was still unconscious from the blood loss. He picked her up and quickly carried her upstairs, outside, and to the van with the others right behind him. Pic sat in the very back seat with Burst, he didn't want to leave her side. As they drove home, Burst's eyes opened slightly.
"P-Pic...?" She murmured, turning her head to look at him.
Pic brushed her fiery bangs out of her face. "It's alright," he told her. "You're safe now."
She smiled slightly and closed her eyes. "Thank you...." She whispered as she fell asleep again.
