Hosuh's POV

"Hosuh," I could hear a voice echo in my head as the car bumped down the road, the simple sound making my ears twitch. "Remember your purpose, Hosuh. You must not fail," I squeezed my hand into a fist, feeling the sharp corners of a simple bracelet charm dig into my palm.

I had been brought to earth for a reason. One I knew very well. The only catch, I could only survive if I had this charm on me at all times. I lose it, I will die. If I break it, I will die. That was the only problem with being a spirit. Earth was always out of the picture.

The car slowed to a halt and I looked out of the window. There sat a simple house, with red, brick walls and a brown painted door. My lip curled in disgust. If I was to stay on Earth for the year, why did they pick the ugliest house in existence for me to reside in?

"Hosuh," I quickly snapped my head to the driver, who was staring at me through the rear-view mirror. "This is your stop. Remember your training and do not reveal your true form to anyone. Do you understand?" The drivers voice was sharp and hostile and his face was emotionless. I gave him a quick nod, silent as I climbed out of the car with my suitcase, looking at the mound of bricks that I would call home.

As the car drove away, I made my way up to the front door. Father said that I'd be sharing this house with two other people, right? Lets just hope I won't screw up. I strung the simple moon charm on a chain, hanging it around my neck before lifting a fist, lightly knocking on the door.
Rap, rap, rap.

Stephen's POV

Rap, rap, rap.
My ears twitched at the sound, causing me to flinch. Someone was at the door. I sighed, standing up from where I sat on the couch to go answer the door but as I made it to the hallway, Daniel was already there, beaming from ear to ear. The green haired boy eagerly opened the door, revealing a nervous looking teenager with pale grey hair. He glanced at both of us nervously, fiddling with his necklace before opening his mouth to speak. "Are you Daniel and Stephen?"

I grinned, leaning up against the wall as Dan let him in, his smile not faltering. So, this must be Hosuh. He looks pretty girlish for a human. "Stephen!" Daniel suddenly called, shoving Hosuh's suitcase towards me. "Show Hosuh to his room!" I groaned, rolling my eyes at the green haired boy.
"Fine," I reached for the suitcase handle but as I touched it, the joints in my hand began to ache, as if someone had set a fire under my skin. I winced slightly, causing Daniel to frown.
"What's wrong?" He asked. I didn't answer. Instead, I eyed Hosuh warily. He looked incredibly anxious.
"Come on," I sighed, lifting the suitcase and beginning to make my way up the stairs. "Your room is this way."

Hosuh's POV

I shoved my hands into my pockets to hide the fact that they were shaking, carefully following Stephen up the stairs. The way he had just looked at me, it scared me. Had I already failed? Did Stephen know already?

The purple haired teenager suddenly stopped in front of a door, dropping my case before turning to me, his violet eyes glancing warily at me, the exact same look he had given me before. "This is your room. Daniel's is just next door and mine is at the end of the hallway." With that, Stephen turned and walked off to his room, closing the door behind him.

I sighed, taking my case into my new room, closing my own door behind me and flicking on the lights. A bed with navy blue sheets sat in the far corner with a desk and chair squeezed in beside it. On the same wall as the door, there was a closet and a mirror.

I set my suitcase beside the closet, looking up into the mirror, watching as a pair of glowing blue eyes gazed back at me. I sighed once more, taking a sheet from the bed and covering the thing. If I was to stay here, I cannot reveal my true form. That means, no mirrors.

Daniel's POV

It was the next day. I groaned, rolling onto my back as my alarm began to beep, rousing me from my sleep. I brushed green strands of hair away from my eyes as I yawned, begrudgingly climbing out of bed. I shuffled out of my room, slowly making my way downstairs when I suddenly smelled bacon. I frowned, making my way to the kitchen to find Hosuh cooking, happily humming to himself as he worked. I rubbed my tired eyes in surprise and confusion as the long haired teen glanced back at me, blue eyes shining. "Good morning Daniel! Did you sleep well?"

"I still don't understand why you decided to make us breakfast," I stated, munching on a piece of toast. Hosuh let out a small, nervous laugh, watching as Stephen hungrily shovelled food into his mouth before pointing his knife directly at me.
"Shut up Daniel! Hosuh's cooking is much better than the shit you serve!" I chuckled, rolling my eyes as I finished my breakfast.

I turned to Hosuh, who had just popped a bit of bacon in his mouth. "School's in an hour," I stated, taking a quick glance at the clock. Hosuh tensed up, swallowing as if his breakfast had just turned to sandpaper. He looked at me, eyes wide. "School..?"
"Well yeah, we have to go to school like every other 16 year olds," Stephen butted in, setting his knife and fork on top of his clean plate. He had emphasised on 'every,' making Hosuh flinch slightly.

I frowned at him, watching as he collected up the finished plates and took them to the kitchen. He's been acting.. off. Ever since Hosuh had arrived yesterday. Hosuh looked incredibly guilty as he stood up from his seat.
"I'll go get ready," he spoke, watching his own feet as he turned to make his way upstairs. Whatever Stephen's doing, he'd better stop.
