As promised, the Kiryu members had turned up once more for the final show.
As the curtains closed on the cast, we dashed past our director, who had, in his hand, a letter of invitation.
Several of the main cast had seemed very confident. They boasted about being able to travel overseas with the top of the top actors. Some had long given up, dejected sighs escaping their mouths.
I joined the ensemble backstage for a short 15 minute break. Dressed down to a casual white t-shirt, some baggy jeans, and a denim jacket, I waited backstage with the a few other main cast for the grand announcement.
We were told that around half of the aidience had left, and the other half had stayed to listen to the announcement. I was sure 5 of the people in the half that remained were the Kiryu members.
The director stepped past the curtains, microphone in hand, giving a short speech to the audience. A speech of thanks, a speech of honor, a speech of anticipation for the future.
"And with great honor, it is my pleasure to announce that 2 of our main cast have been selected for other performances! One will be for the world tour, the other, the chance to be in a movie, locally produced, based of the musical you have just watched. "
Immediately the cast grew pretty noisy backstage. Everyone would have preferred the movie. It was probably on a grander scale than the world tour, and better, there was no need to leave behind friends, family.
"Now, the movie position... Goes to-"
The applause had burst right as the name was announced, and the cast was unclear of this person, who had been given such a rare opportunity. The ensemble pushed one of the cast beyond the curtains, leading us to believe it was him who had received the fortune of the goddesses.
He dashed backstage holding the letter delicately, as if it were a sheet of thin glass, and that anything could've broken it.
"The World Tour position goes to... [Y/N]!"
Shock was registered on the faces of everyone backstage. I was the newcomer, and I was invited for a World tour? I myself couldn't believe it. I was shoved by encouraging friends past the curtains, the surprise still written across every inch of my expression.
I shook his hand, taking a bow, and received the invitation with both hands. I understood why the previous fellow was so careful with it. It was actually as if I was holding a fragile, yet majestic thing. I couldn't let it drop.
I took a bow to the audience, then hid backstage, still in utter disbelief.
*Time skip*
"Three cheers for [Y/N]! Hip hip, "
"hooray!"
"hip hip!"
"hooray!"
"hip hip!"
"hooray!"
A shower of confetti rained above me as I ducked for cover. The Kiryu members had dragged me to a buffet dinner service with them, where they'd apparently booked out the whole room.
I was getting ambushed here and there with a "congrats" from the Kiryu members and several other BP records bands. Turns out the entire record company had come to watch.
After some time, I had settled down between Hayato and Subaru, and across me was Toramaru and Leo. While we ate, they reenacted certain parts, singing certain songs. While some parts were fun, singing my colleagues' lines, some parts were embarrassing as they reminded me of several scenes.

FanfictionI wrote this because honestly There aren't enough V-kei stories here, one of those V-kei bands being Kiryu. I do not write these for any specific person. I write them in my own free time when inspiration strikes. I apologize if the story turns out...
