Thank you for reading through my first book!
So, that was a trip of much pain...
I started on this book in early June, planning a basic storyline over first drafts of the first 10 chapters. I published the first chapter on 21 of June.
I published each new chapter till around the 8th(?), when I got dissatisfied with where the plot was going, and deleted my drafts, nearly changing the entirety of the original story plot. I definitely prefer this better over the original, but one of the things I felt I should have done better would be timing.
I wanted to finish this in 20 chapters, as a first book, but because of this, the feelings and relationships of characters couldn't be paced as well as I had originally intended.
Second to improve would be descriptions. I use timeskips perhaps a little too much to cover up any parts where I'm lazy to write fillers, and there are several parts that should definitely have been more detailed.
Third-consistency. I started off writing around 500 words, I think? I forgot at which point, but I suddenly decided that each chapter ought to have a minimum of 1000 words. That lead to a little bit of inconsistency in the story, which I personally dislike.
