Small Town Buddies (A Luke Bryan fan fiction)

Mud Hole

ASHLYNS POV

We got into his truck and went to his place, he changed and got his other stuff for later and we climbed into the mud truck, well he calls it the rainbow truck because it has yellow orange blue and green stripes around it. Me being me I did not like being helped into vehicles, it makes me feel useless or short you know, but i really couldnt get in the mud truck without help. Luke could hardly get in. I remember when he first go this truck and we took  it for a test drive, it was pretty beat up. Luke went to pull himself up by the holy shit handle and it broke off. He fell straight onto his ass on the grass. I was already in so me, I was laughing my ass off. In order for him to get in he had to jump onto the seat on  his stomach and pull himself up with my assistance. It was hilarious.

We drove down a few back roads when i remembered my cousin Lloyd had a feild with a HUGE mud hole. I told luke the directions to his house so i could ask if we could go there, sinice Lukes only been there a couple times. I jumped down from the truck and walked to the door. Lloyd know both Luke and I so it should be okay. My little cousin blake answered the door, hes 2. the cutest little boy ever. "Hey buddy, is your Grandpa home??" He nodded and told us to come. Luke picked him up and put him on his shoulder and Blake wouldnt stop laughing. My aunt was in the kitchen cooking something so i didnt want to inrterupt her. We went to the living room and seen Lloyd, Tyer, and Connor watching mudding videos on youtube. "Hey! what are you two doing here??" Ty asks. "Well, we came to ask you if we could go out  back to the mud hole?" i ask knowing what the answer would most likely be. "You both know you dont have to ask, i know you two are both responsible enough." "We just wanted to make sure it was okay sir." Luke answers for me. Oh snap, cant wait for what happens now! Lloyd stands up and walks up to luke right infront of him, Blake gone playing somewhere. "You listen here sonny." he puts his fist on lukes chest. "Dont call me sir, havent i told you that enough" he cracks up laughing. Haha i knew that was going to happen. "Sorry." he answers. Lloyd just pats his shoulder. "You two go ahead. But we might be out there later with the bikes, and i dont wanna walk over on something, and im sure you know what I mean." He's such a bug. "Dude, were not even dating, jeeze!" I say to his remark. "Yet." he answers and walks away. I look at Luke and he just shrugs his shouder and laughs. Were both used to him making jokes like that. Ive talked to him, like a serious conversation and he thinks that once me and Luke realize we have feeling for eachother and that we are perfect for eachother we would date for sure. A piece of me hopes hes right and another doesnt. I dont want to wreck anything that me and him already have.

We went back and got in the truck and drove out back. luke stopped and looked at me really seriosly. i just sit there scared of whats gonna happen. "You wanna drive first??" That little shit. "Duh!" He gets out and i just slide over. Its easiest for everyone. Haha. He gets in, smiles at me, and we roll down all the windows. I look at him and he nods. I put er in gear and give er nuts. As soon as we hit the mud a big chunk of mud hit lke in the face, i just started laughing. The pit was quite deep this year, its been a wet year. we were going for about half an hour when we switched driving. But instead of going into the pasenger side i went into the bos of the truck. As soon as i gave luke the ho ahead he put the pedal to the floor. we were going for about ten minutes when he got stuck, like wow! Even i didnt get stuck. I jumped down and Luke got out. He of course fell over so i went to go help him up. I will give it to him on one thing, this mud is relly deep and hard to walk in. I gave him my hand to help him up but iinstead he just pulled me down in to the mud. We both just crack up laughing. We both stop laughing and just look into eachothers eyes. He has such big brown amazing eyes. We both get lost in eachothers eyes and we start to lean into eachother when Lloyd comes over with the little farm tractor smiling ear to ear and winks at us. We both loook down then at eachother. I know for a fact my face is so red, but seein his facee probably just as red i relaxed a bit. Lloyd walks over. "Told you two i did NOT want to come over and interupt on anything!" he fails to be serious and ends up laughing histaricly. "Uh nothing was happening Lloyd." Luke answers his remark and we all just slightly laugh. "I heard you guys yelling, and the engine roaring so i figured you guys were suck, and dang wasn tI right?!" he asks. "He sucks at mudding. He could use some lessons." i answer pointing at luke. He just shakes his head and ssmiles.

About twenty minutes later we were out, we changed cleaned off with their hose outside and went and ate supper with them.  After dinner we head home, and it was silent almost the whole time. Once we were at my house Luke spoke up. "Look Ash, im sorry about before. Were just friends, and you probably dont wanna see  my face right now." Luke has kissed me beofre and i told him we were just friends but now i wishi didnt. "No Luke, its okay. Its not your fault." i answer while movin to the middle seat. He just looks at me and slightly nods saying he understands what im saying. "I better get going before my dad starts to worry." I say giving him a hug goodbye. I hop out and walk up to the door, i was about to open it when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and theres Luke. "Luke what a" i couldnt finish my sentence becuase he cut me off with a kiss. I was suprisisedd at first but returnedd it. He pulled away. "Ashlyn, im s" I cut him off kissing him again. He returned it. I pull away and go inside. What have i gotten myself into?? The  only thiing i could thin about that night was two things 1) that kiss and 2) Thomas Luther Bryan
