Small Town Buddies (A Luke Bryan fan fiction)

The next day...

ASHLYN's pov
I wake up with Luke still sleeping beside me but I could hear dad and josh talking downstairs. I kiss Luke on the forehead and slowly get out of bed not waking him. I go downstairs and sit at the table with the guys. "How you doin Ash?" Josh asks me. I just shrug my shoulder cuz well to be completely honest I don't know. I mean I know he was sick and we all knew it was going to happen but time doesn't make it much better either. Dad tells me to just take the day off and him and josh are going out of town for the day, I don't complain, I don't know if I could work much today. 20 minutes later they leave and as soon as they walk out the door I hear Luke tossing stuff around in my room probably looking for his shirt. I walk in and him being shirtless on the floor looking under my bed for his shirt I clear my throat and he looks at me and points at me. "I was looking for that baby girl." He says as he walks to me and tugs on his shirt. I take it off just not giving and hand it to him then put my own shirt on. He kisses my head. "You okay love??" "Yeah, I guess." I half smile as he hugs me tight and kisses my head saying "I'm starving." I just shake my head kinda laughing. ""When are you not hungry Luther?" He pinches me lightly and we run downstairs and find food to cook.

LUKE's pov
Ash is adorable, not in a little kid way I mean like....I don't know, she's just perfect. She's the most beautiful amazing girl ever. We ended up making the biggest mess making pancakes. We eventually gave up and made toast after 45 minutes of pancake disaster. We took 20 minutes eating and I told Ash I gotta go home and check the horses and feed the cows. "Wanna come sweetheart??" I ask hoping she'll say yes. "Hmm I umm yes." I smile as she answers with the correct answer. She runs downstairs to change and then runs back up the stairs and says she's ready. That girl is crazy... But she's my kind of crazy. We arrive at my farm 6 minutes later. She says she can check the horses as she loves horses especially the black mustang I tamed last year. Almost died taming that one hahah. I get in the tractor and get some bails and spread them out in the crown pasture in the back. As I'm coming back I see Ash sitting bareback on the mustang, named Spartan, talking to him. She said she wants to jump him some day. He is great she's took him around here before. My sister used to jump so we got the jumps and the pens but yeah... I think Ash would be great at jumping him. I shut off the tractor and get back into the truck and honk for Ash, she gets startled and yells "jeeze!!" She runs to the truck and hops in laughing trying to say "a-hole" and kisses my cheek. I just laugh and smile at her.
