WMA 4 - Sitting Beside The Enemy

Lucy’s POV

The girls of our classroom calmed down. They stared blankly and some glared at me because, you know, every girl wants to be Natsu’s seatmate.

However, I am not so calm about this.

“Couldn’t he just sit on the floor?” Professor opened his mouth to speak but then the door bursts open.

Lisanna entered the classroom with confidence. She’s pretty, I know. But her personality? Definitely a no for me. For me only. I don’t know why, I just hate her guts. She noticed that everyone was quiet, so she greeted us loudly with a fake smile. “Good morning—” She halted when she saw the person beside me. Lisanna stared at him for awhile, and in my peripheral vision, I can see Natsu staring back at Lisanna.

“Is this... a staring contest?” Levy broke the silence. I looked at her and saw her very annoyed face. She’s not really fond of awkward silence, huh?

“Class, settle down. We’ll now discuss our lesson in Biology about Cells.” Mr. Wakaba looked up from his table.

After Levy and Mr. Wakaba said those words, the class forgot about me sitting beside Natsu; they became noisy and rowdy again.

“Calm down, people. We’re not in a party.” Mr. Wakaba shouted. “So, our topic for the first day is all about Cells. Can anyone still remember who first discovered the cell?” He continued. I was about to raise my hand when the person on my right did the honor.

“Robert Hooke, sir.” Dragneel answered when Mr. Wakaba called him. The girls started whispering to each other. I heard some “Wow”, “Cool”, “Smart”... tch, I could beat him.

“Thank you. Now, read facts about Virus on page 8. After that, flip the pages to page 10, and answer the activity about Cells.” With that, I pulled out my Science book from my bag and flipped the page to page 10.

Explain the differences between a Bacteria and a Virus using a Venn Diagram. Below the Venn Diagram, explain the importance of the two mentioned microorganisms. (5 pts.)

Easy. I know all these.

“Hey Natsuuu....” A black haired girl from our classroom purred. Is he that handsome to people? I can’t see it.

“Yo.” There he goes again. The toothy grin.

“Please teach me. How do I answer this activity?” She walked closer to Natsu until... the girls of our classroom went near him, except for me, Levy, some other girls and... Lisanna? Oh great, I just noticed that Mr. Wakaba’s not here anymore. The girls would create a commotion again.

“Chill, girls. One by one, please, if you want me to tutor you all.” He ordered in a bragging way.

“You know what, he’s very smart.” Mirajane whispered.

I looked at her, forehead creased. “Yeah, and very boastful.” I added, rolling my eyes.

That was what the letter said. Anyways, it’s already our recess time. I’m with Gray for him to tour me around the school. But first, he led me to the Principal’s Office where Sir Makarov was for the letter of acceptance and interview.
