"ethan, promise me you'll stay with me. promise me you won't go. promise me you'll hold on." loud cries escapes raven's plump lips, not holding back even the slightest bit.
hot tears rapidly fall out of ethan's puffy eyes, as he holds on to the girl in front of him.
"i can't promise you." ethan whispers, barely audible.
raven held on to ethan's soaked shirt, all from her own tears. she didn't want to let go. she couldn't let herself let go.
she could loose him.
"please." the crying girl begs, hoping ethan would somehow come to his senses.
her voice barely came out as a whisper.
"i'm sorry." ethan threw both of his hands over his eyes, completely aware this would break her.
he couldn't look, not even a peak.
the boy knew this would rip her heart in half.
but he proceeded.
all for grayson.
that moment.
that was all it took for raven to fall too her knees, bursting into a fit of loud sobs, knowing she could never see the boy she loves again.
knowing she doesn't have the ability to make him happy.
if only ethan held on a bit longer.
maybe he could've been saved.
