It was now the last day that the three Santiago women would spend in Los Angeles before having to head home. To say they were sad to say goodbye to the city was nothing short of the truth. They loved everything they had seen, though they wished they had more time. Though, to make their last day count, they went to the movie theatre and saw the films that they were able to.

After watching multiple movies and doing a bit of shopping, they headed back to their hotel room. The trio reopened their suitcases to pack what they had just bought, then went out to eat at a diner nearby. Once they ate, they went back to their room and laid back as they chatted. Soon, Rosalinda's phone rang and she alerted the girls that it was their father, Pedro. As Rosalinda filled Pedro in on the trip, Marie and Grace were left alone to talk.

"So," Grace asked curiously, "has Cameron texted you yet?"

Marie shook her head and frowned, until a laugh emitted from within her. "Wait, why do you care? Yeah, you practically set us up but why care?"

Grace huffed. "You're my little sister. I realize that him texting you was my doing but I care."

Marie smiled at the words of her older sister.

Grace spoke once more, this time with an edge to her voice as she spoke firmly, "If he treats you like the princess you are, M, I'll be overjoyed; but if he hurts you, I'll hurt him."

Marie nodded in understanding. Suddenly, Marie's phone chimed. Checking it, her mouth dried and she swore. "Shit, shit!"

Just as quickly, her father's voice boomed throughout the room, "Marie, watch your language!"

"Sorry, papi!" Marie shouted in reply.

Grace eyed her younger sister oddly until Marie showed her who the text was from. The face of the older Santiago sister lit up as she urged Marie, by facial expressions and hand gestures, to text the boy back. Marie had had enough of her sisters urging so she unlocked her phone and did just that.

"And he finally texted." Grace said, as Marie set her phone down.

Marie nodded.

"Throughout your conversation with him, you smiled at your phone." Grace stated, as she smirked.

Marie blinked until her sister's words processed themselves within her mind and she groaned. "Oh, God..."

Grace laughed lightly. "It's okay. He must've said some things to make you smile like that."

Marie nodded slowly and said, "I told him I was sad to leave Los Angeles, he said that I might get the chance to come back and that he hoped for that; and he wished me a safe flight."

Grace grinned. "Wow."

A while later, their conversation was cut short, as they all had to get to the airport to make it on time for their flight. After driving for a while, the three women made it to their airport, and got on their flight. All three looked at each other, thinking the same thing. Soon, they would be home.
