Rina never ended up seeing Masaru again that night, so she went to bed with worry on her mind. The next morning, she heard a different voice wake her up than the day before.

"Get up already!" Fuyuko shouted, trying to kick Rina off of the bed.

There was no guessing this time, it was definitely Fuyuko kicking at her back.

Rina sat up quickly and glared over at the tiny girl.

"What on earth makes you think waking someone up like that is a good idea?!" She snapped.

"Masu sent me up here to wake you up, and now I'm missing out on time I could be spending with him to babysit you!" Fuyuko replied with a scowl, crossing her arms.

"You're too much of a baby to babysit anyone!" Rina shouted back, hitting Fuyuko with her pillow.

Fuyuko cried out dramatically and picked up another pillow, preparing to hit Rina with it before stopping when they both heard a sigh in the doorway.

"Is our entire group really so incapable of waking someone up without trouble?" Masaru asked, leaning against the doorframe.

Rina looked over at Masaru, her face slightly warm as they made eye contact.

"I know, I know. I'm a pervert for coming in here." He said in a dull tone.

"No, that was...I overreacted yesterday. Sorry." She said, almost feeling ashamed of herself.

Masaru's eyes traveled to the desk, which had his trench coat on it.

"You managed to fix it?" Masaru asked, picking it up and looking at the tear.

"Yeah, but...I didn't have any thread that was the exact color, so it sticks out a bit." Rina said, cringing when he found the spot that was slightly lighter brown, "But I figured you could treat it as a memento of our adventure on this island!"

Rina grimaced as Fuyuko put her face in her palm, she had a feeling that wasn't going to win Masaru over.

"That's...acceptable." He said, looking over at Rina, "Thank you."

Rina's face began to feel warm as she averted her gaze.

"It wasn't a problem." She said, "But be more careful next time. That coat is precious to you, right?"

"Yeah." Masaru said, before slipping it on.

"What exactly is going on here?" Fuyuko asked, narrowing her eyes at them.

"Nothing." Masaru said, shaking his head, "Let's wait outside for Rina to get dressed."

With that, the two of them left the room and Rina changed into her clothes.

When Rina walked out into the hallway, Fuyuko was looking angrily up at Masaru. But he wasn't paying it any mind, looking down at his phone. He looked at Rina and put his phone away when she approached.

"All right. Let's get going." He said, leading the way to the dining room.

Rina looked at him as they walked, despite what had happened the day before, he seemed to be the same Masaru as always. After a few moments of staring, Masaru looked over at her.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Nothing." Rina said, deciding once again not to pry.

"Are you actually going to have fun with us today, Masu?" Fuyuko asked, bobbing her head side to side and smiling.

"The case is what comes first." Masaru said, returning his gaze forward, "But if I have some extra time...we'll see."

Fuyuko cried out in joy and hopped through the air.
