"I don't understand why we're at a designer store."

The store was packed with snobby, uptight women and high class men. Alex and Gene looked very out of place compared to everyone else. Gene was in leather and Alex was in a KISS shirt and jeans.

"You need a bathing suit, so why not go big?"

Alex rolled her eyes and followed the leather clad man through the store. Passerbys gave the pair dirty looks as they walked through the store, looking for the swimsuit section. Apparently Alex was moving too slow though, so Gene grabbed ahold of her hand and started towing her around.

"Gene! Come on, stop dragging me!"

"You're being too slow, you know what? Here. Hop on."

Gene stopped and dropped down on one knee in front of her. Alex looked at him with a very questionable look.

"Gene, we're in a very fancy store with sophisticated people."

She said through a smile. Gene turned around and grinned.

"Don't make me come and pick you up."

Gene took a step toward her, making Alex take a large step backward.

"Ok ok! Just turn back around and let me on."

Gene turned around and Alex hopped up on his back. He turned his head a bit to be able to talk to her without anyone hearing.

"You know Kitten, I wish this wasn't your first time riding me."

Alex smacked his shoulder, making Gene chuckle.

"Just speaking the truth darlin'. You know I can't resist you."

"And you know how fucked you would be if you even tried to get with me. Paul would fuck you up."

"I don't think he would, but I do know he wouldn't talk to me again. And that's not something I'm willing to risk. The way I see it is I can look but can't touch or act on my urges."

"Your urges?"

Gene let out a snort.

"I'm not sure you want to know."

"I actually do."

He let out a low laugh.

"The one I'm holding back right now is to take you to the dressing room, pin you against the wall and fuck you relentlessly. Grabbing your ass constantly is another one, along with wrapping my arm around your waist, pulling you close to me and talking dirty in your ear."

"Well I'm glad you're holding them back."

Gene smiled.

"I bet you're imagining me doing all that stuff now."

Alex kept silent a moment.

"No. Our relationship is strictly friendly. Nothing else."

"I know darlin', but I still have my fantasies."

Alex wrapped her arms around Gene's neck and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm really glad I have both of you in my life. I honestly can't see my life the way it was before you guys. You both mean so much to me."

Gene kissed her arm in response. If only she knew where his thoughts were. He was imagining him and her living together, happy and madly in love. Gene wanted that life with her and he knew deep down so did she, but she loved Paul. He could see that love whenever she looked at him. It killed him, but if she was happy, then that's all that mattered. They finally arrived at the swimsuit section of the store. Alex watched as Gene pawed through the different bikinis. He finally had found one he liked and pulled it out, a blue and white striped bikini. Alex had to admit, it was cute and she did kinda want it. That was until she saw the price tag.

"Gene no! That's way too expensive! Can we please just go to a JC Penny?"

He smiled.

"Nope! And you're out of luck because I know your size. So you'll be getting it."

"Wait how do you know it?"

"I pay attention."

Sure enough, he pulled out a medium bikini bottom and 36D top. Alex crossed her arms and followed Gene through the store to the front. She didn't understand the need for a bikini over 300 dollars, but Gene threw money around like it grew on trees. Hell, for him it practically did. One show and he had made more than Alex would in her entire life. Maybe she should just let him blow his money as he pleased, afterall, he was part of the hottest band in the world. She ran to catch up with Gene so she could walk next to him.

"There you are slow poke. I was beginning to think you had gotten lost and I was gonna have to have someone go over the intercom and tell you to come to the front."

Alex rolled her eyes and shoved him with her hip. Gene wrapped his arm Alex's shoulders and put the swimsuit up on the counter. The snooty woman looked at the pair through her librarian style glasses. She sighed heavily and scanned the items. The total came to around 380 and Gene pulled his card out from his wallet. The uptight woman looked shocked when she saw that Gene was able to pay for such an expensive item. She gave him the receipt and they walked out of the store. Gene stopped in front of the limo he had requested for them.

"I think we should fly into Jacksonville and then drive the rest of the way there. What do you think?"

"I think that would be really fun. It's been a while since I've been on a road trip."

"I would say let's drive the whole way, but the distance from New York to Florida is quite far."

"Yeah, I'm not really in the mood for that long of a road trip."

Alex chuckled. Gene held open the door for her and they drove off to the airport.

"Me either. I think a few hours of driving is enough."

Both of them were excited about spending some time soaking up the sun and sticking their feet in the sand. Gene definitely needed the break, after a long tour, a vacation was always appreciated. Alex was thankful as well, having to deal with the late nights and long days on tour really wore her out and a nice beach with a cold drink in her hand sounded amazing right about now.
