"Where are you two going?"

Gene watched the pair walk out of the room and pull the door shut. He was sitting on the couch watching the news on the TV.

"I need to get my books and stuff from my house. Did you want to come with us?"

Gene shrugged his shoulders and nodded.

"Why not, there's nothing else to do. Paul are you all ready to leave tomorrow?"

"Change of plans, we're not leaving until Saturday. Alex has finals on Friday and if she's gonna come with us we can't leave until then."

"You better tell Ace and Peter."

"I will, are they here?"

"They're both still sleeping."

"Alright, I'll tell them later then."

Gene noded and followed them into the elevator. They took Paul's car again and sped toward Alex's house. The ride was pretty quick, Gene and Paul were discussing music and tour stuff. When they pulled up, Alex hopped out quickly and jogged up to the door, Demon followed close behind her.

"Why doesn't he have a leash on?"

"The leash is for other people. He doesn't need one, he's trained to stay by my side without a leash. People just complain and get nervous around him if he doesn't have one on."

Alex unlocked the door and ran inside to the corded phone. She pulled the phone off of the reciever and immediately went to her voicemail box. There were 6 messages. Shit. Alex's face dropped, she knew most of them were her mom.

"Alex, I've called about 5 times now. Where are you? Please call me back when you get this."

"Alex honey, please pick up. I'm sorry for what I said, please just call me back."

"Alexandra Samuels, this isn't funny. You're scaring your mother half to death."

"Lexy this is Andrew, from our American Literature class. I was wondering if I could take you out on a date this Friday after finals, call me back when you get this please."

"God, no thanks."

Alex clicked to the next voicemail.

"Hey Bug, this is your father, your mom is throwing a fit and is very worried about you. I know you're fine, just give us a call please. Love you."

"Alex, please call me back, see you in class."

The last one was from Andrew again, he was a cute guy but he was notorious for taking women out and never talking to them again. She dialed her parents number, after only 2 rings they picked up.

"Hello?"

The voice was urgent.

"Hey mom."

"Oh my god. Jeff honey, it's Alex! She's alright!"

"I'm sorry for not calling back mom, the past 3 days were um, were not what I expected."

"What do you mean? Where the hell were you?"

"Look mom, please don't freak out."

"Were you doing drugs? Alexandra Lyn Samuels, you better not have been doing.."

"Jesus mom, no. I wasn't doing drugs. Look, when I hung up the phone with you Sunday night I went for a walk. On my walk I got attacked by a man. But luck.."
