The Truth

Shay's POV

I couldn't help but feel like it wasn't just me in this. Sasha's face was shocked but I knew she liked it.. maybe. I don't know. I practically ran to my dressing room with Ashley following behind me. I get in and push the door shut before it is blown open. 

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" Ashley yelled. 

"For god's sake Ashley close the door," I said wondering if anyone had heard. 

She slammed it. "What is going on Shay, you've been acting different and it's noticeable in your acting and your personality.  I'm not leaving until you tell me." She demanded. 

"What?" 

"Don't what me, you know exactly what i'm talking about. I mean what was that kiss? It was so passionate, it was almost like you were together. Oh my god, are you and Sasha??" 

She wouldn't tone her voice down and i was really paranoid someone would hear. "Ashley, shut the fuck up, I think half of China heard you." 

"answer my question shay," 

"No we aren't, what's your deal?" 

"My deal is my best friend is hiding something from me and I want to know what it is. Now stop stalling and tell me. That wasn't an Emily and Alison kiss, that was something else." 

"Ashley, I'm going to need you to calm down before I tell you anything." 

She managed to do that and sat down on the couch with me. 

"You can't say anything to anyone about this, especially Sasha. Got it?" 

She nodded, I trusted her with my life but sometimes she has a big mouth. 

"The reason Matt and I got in a fight was because, I've been distant with him, with everyone really." 

"Ya no shit, for the past 2 weeks," 

I shot her a glare. 

"and, I'm being distant is because I'm confused about something," 

"Oh my god!" 

Oh no, she figured it out. Ashley knows all. 

"You love her. Shannon Ashley Mitchell, you're in love with her. You don't know how to tell Matt, that's why you're being distant, and you don't know how to act around Sasha, because you have a hopeless crush on her." 

"wow. it took me a few weeks to get that, you figured it out in 30 seconds," 

"what are you going to do?" 

"I don't know,"  

"I can't be with her, and i can't stay with Matt when i have feelings for Sasha." 

"Would if you could though?" 

"Could what?" 

"Be with her, I saw the scene Shay, she was just as into it as you were." 

Hearing that someone else was seeing it gave me a little hope. 

"You saw it too?" 

"yes i saw it, the whole fucking world saw it."

"She's been acting different with me too. 

"How?" 

"I've seen her stare at me, and yesterday she offered her house to me, and she kissed my forehead." 

"You have to talk to her," 

"Ya but she's with Hudson. I can't ruin that for her." 

"But you need to," 

"Why?" 

"Because if you don't you'll be miserable."

"No, I can get over her." 

"You see her everyday Shay, it's going to be hard to get over it if she's in your life." 

I didn't know what to say or do. 

"Shay, we can all see that you're hurting, you need to let go of some of it. Tell her. I know she'll still love you, maybe not in the way you want her to, but I know she will. All of us are here to support you." 

I felt some tears well up in my eyes and fall down. "Thanks Ash." She leaned in and we hugged. 

"Thank you for telling me." 

It felt so good to tell someone. I've kept all of that balled up for so long.
