Chapter 10: suprise suprise suprise

I woke up with the sound of my phone ringing. I stretched my hand to the side drawer where it was charging and carried it swiping to answer the call.

"Hey babe" Abdul Malik's voice said as I didn't even check the caller ID.

"Hey" I replied in a yawn.

"Don't tell me am a wake up call"

"You are actually, what do you want"

"Can't I just call to hear my future wife's voice or what"

"Your joking right. You woke me up from my perfect sleep for this. seriously"

"Well actually now that you mention it thats not the only reason I also wanted to ask whether you have lectures today or not"

"No....I don't think so"

"Ok then perfect I can come pick you up and we could go somewhere"

"No I can't Abdul Malik"

"Why"

"Well I have some assignments to go through and I have to read for a test so I really can't make it"

"Come on please, you can do the assignments later in the night and then I can tutor you for the test"

"Are you sure you want to it's statistics"

"It's my specialty"

"Fine then you can come by 12 but nothing more than 2 hours okay" I said sternly.

"I promise"

After his call it was 2 am in the morning so I had to just go back to sleep if not I was going to wake up with a headache.

The alarm next to Aisha woke both of us up from our slumber at exactly 6 am.

Ooh crap I missed my fajr prayer, I quickly ran to the bathroom to perform my ablution. I came to seconds later and prayed.

I was about to went the shower when I heard Aisha talking from behind me.

"I don't know whether it was a dream or not but I could have sworn I heard you making plans with Abdul in the night"

"No you weren't dreaming, he called me in the night and asked me whether I wanted to spend some time with him and I accepted"

"But your coming back before dinner right"

"Yes I am why"

"Well it's kind of a tradition that we have a family dinner a week before someone's birthday in the family"

"Who's birthday is it"

"Mine ofcourse"

"Your joking right.. ooh my god I can't believe it why didn't you say anything earlier Aisha"

"Because I wanted to tell you when the time was short" she said back with a smirk.

"Well we will see who won't get a present"

"You won't dare"

"We'll see about that" I also replied with a an evil chuckle and walked to the bathroom.

I showered and came out within 15 minutes and dressed in a very simple floral dress witha yellow flower pattern on it and added it with a veil.

When I was done it was around 11 and I completely forgot that I didn't even have my break fast yet so I  grabbed my purse and phone and told Aisha I was going down for breakfast and headed down.

As I arrived at the dinning table I could see everyone's plate already, clearly done with their food. I sat down and opened the cooler and poured my Kunu and added a bit of sugar as I slowly gobbled it down my throat.
