*Dylan's POV*
I was rudely woken up by my alarm, blaring it's annoying sounds. I rolled over and stopped it, checking the time. It was 9:30. I had one hour to get ready before meeting Jonah at Starbucks. I crawled out of bed and walked to my closet.
I picked out some jean shorts and a baby blue tank top, grabbing my white slip on vans and heading into the bathroom.
I brushed my hair and teeth and put a bit of makeup on. I turned the light off and headed to the living to see Sam on the couch.
"Hey there Dyl. Where are you up to today?" Sam asked while munching on her cereal.
"I'm going to Starbucks in a few with a friend," I sat next to her.
"What friend? You made friends!" she jokes.
"Jonah. Speaking of which it's 10:15, I should head out cause of traffic. Bye," I say, trying to avoid her teasing.
"Ok, have fun on your coffee date with Jonah!" Sam shouted as I closed the door.
I ordered an Uber and waited for it to pick me up.*Jonah's POV*
Was this a date? I hope so but I want to ask her on a date, she asked me to meet her here. I walked into Starbucks and sat at a table. I was five minutes early.
A few minutes later Dylan walked through the door. I waved her over.
"Hey," Dylan smiled, sitting across from me.
"Morning," I smiled back, "What do you want to drink and eat?"
"I'll take an iced coffee and a chocolate cake pop," she replied, grabbing a ten dollar bill out of her purse.
"No no no, I'm paying Dylan," I refused.
"Oh, thanks so much Jonah!" Dylan stuffed it back into her bag.
I went up to the register and ordered our food and drinks. They called my name and I headed back, giving Dylan her stuff.
"Thank you!" Dylan said taking a sip of her drink.
"It's the least I can do after what I did a few years ago. I'm really sorry for that Dylan, I don't know what got into me. If I could change the past I would," I shook my head in embarrassment.
"Jonah, your forgiven. And please call me Dyl, my friends call me that."
I smiled and we continued to talk about why she was in LA and the band. It was a lot more comfortable than with the other guys, almost like old times.
We finished our food and drinks and an idea popped into my head.
"Hey, you know the fair that's going on tonight?" I asked as we walked out the door.
She nodded and I continued, "Do you want to go? The boys and I were planning on going and I was just curious to see if you wanted to come."
"Sure. What time should I get there?" Dylan responded.
"We can pick you up, just send me your address. Sam can go to if you want."
"She's actually heading to New York for a photo shoot tonight so she wants to rest up," Dylan said.
"Ok, well I'll pick you up at 3:30 Dyl," I hugged her.
"See you!" she waved as she walked off.
I smiled as I watched her walk down the street to find a bench and wait for her Uber. I turned around and headed to my car, calling Daniel.
"What's up Jonah?" Daniel asked.
"Dylan is coming to the fair with us tonight. Is that ok with everyone?" I said, putting my phone on speaker as I sat in the driver's seat, starting the car.
"Lemme ask," I heard Daniel yell at the other guys and then he spoke again into the phone, "Yup, all good. There proud of you for asking her on a date, except Jack. You should tell him that you like Dylan.",
"Yeah I know. I will when I get home. Just try to hint that I asked her to come in a date sort of manner," I explained.
"Ok, see ya in a bit. Bye," Daniel hung up and I continued driving.*Dylan's POV*
I burst through the door and ran to Sam's room. She was sitting on the floor packing her clothes for New York.
"Sam," I say panting, "Jonah invited me to go to the fair tonight. Is it a date?"
Sam smirked, "I'd guess so. How was the coffee date?"
I blushed, "Good, better without the other guys."
I sat on her bed and helped her fold her t-shirts, "Oh my gosh, wait! Can you text Jonah and ask him if it's a date?"
She let out a chuckle, "Sure, I'll just say it's business to protect my friend so it doesn't seem like you want to know."
I nodded eagerly and watched as she typed a message to Jonah. She sent it and the dots appeared. He had said "Yes, unless she is uncomfortable with that." I squealed.
"Relax, keep it chill there Dyl," Sam laughed but I could tell she was excited too.
"Can you do my makeup before I leave? He is picking me up at 3:30 so we still have a few hours."
Sam nodded, "Of course. I'll do your hair too!"
I smiled at her and made my way back to my room. I decided to film a YouTube video. I yelled at Sam to get her butt into my room. She burst through the door and sat beside me.
"Q&A video?" Sam asked.
"Yup," I replied, starting to record, "Hey everyone, it's Dylan here and today I'm joined by my beautiful BFF, Sam!"
"Hey!" Sam waved as she hugged me.
"So today we are doing a Q&A. I have some questions you guys asked me about Sam and I and let's get started."
We finished up the video and I edited it and posted it. I checked some of the comments which were so sweet. I looked over to see it was 2:45.
"Sam!" I shouted.
"Is it time for hair and makeup?" she asked as she came into my bedroom with a hairbrush and makeup bag.
I nodded as she began.
She finished my makeup, nothing crazy, a little more than my natural look. Then she brushed my hair out and I decided to put it in a loose bun.
I thanked her and grabbed my phone and bag as I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and Jonah stood there.
"Hey!" I smiled as I closed the door and followed him to the car.
"Hey. You excited?" Jonah asked.
"Can't wait," I replied as I opened the car door and sat next to Zach who was in the middle.
We began to drive and I knew it was going to be a fun night.
