I cleaned my room and packed my things before I had to leave. My music played loudly, drowning out the sound of dad mowing the lawn. I sang along with Romeo Santos as Darte un Beso played.

I heard knocking on my door and yelled over the music for them to come in. The door opened up and in walked Lucas.

I grabbed my phone and paused the music, "what are you doing here?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "we haven't talked in two weeks and you're leaving in five days with me... I don't want the ride to be awkward for us."

"I'm busy. I don't have time to do the stupid bucket list. I have to pack and clean."

He sighed, "Alex, cleaning and packing takes no more than three hours to do. And I think we need some time to talk... somewhere that isn't here."

"Maybe another time, Lucas."

"Why're are being this way? I called twice and I texted you everyday and you never replied." He questioned me.

"Maybe because you managed to to reject me without saying a single word. So, maybe I should do the same."

"I was shocked!" He yelled at me, "I didn't know what to say to you. You hit me with that after a good day, no arguing, nothing and then you come out of the blue with this."

"Maybe I told you because it was a good day and you lead me on to think that you just might feel the same way."

"I don't even know how I feel about myself, nevermind my feelings towards you, Alexandra."

"Clearly, you're actions know better than your head does."

"Obviously because I don't even know what I'm doing half the time when I'm with you."

I sat down on my bed and put my face in my hands. "Why are you even here?"

He sat down beside me, "maybe because I missed you and you're my best friend and I'm not letting you leave me on bad terms. If you leave on bad terms now, we probably won't ever talk again. Do you want that?"

"I don't even want you here now, so I think I would be fine leaving on bad terms with you... I couldn't care less right now, if I'm being honest."

He took in a deep breath, "listen, I'm sorry if I hurt you. That wasn't my intention nor was it to lead you on. You're my best friend, regardless of what happens between us. I'm not ready for a relationship and I really don't want to even think about losing you because of a relationship. I do love you, but not in that way."

"Okay."

"I'm sorry."

I sat up, "okay."

"Do you forgive me?"

"... Yeah, I do."

We sat at the park on the swings. This is the park where we first met and became friends.

I took the book and pencil from him and erased the check mark next to number 38, fall in love.

The street lights turned on as the sun went down. I gave him back the book and kept the pencil to play with.

"You didn't need to erase that. If you did, you did. There's no changing that."

"If there's a check it means we both did it, not just me. It makes no sense to have a check by it."

He changed the subject immediately, "number 29, let's go."

"What's that?"

"Seattle."

"Now?" he nod his head, "that almost a day's drive."

"Good. Then, we'll be fine by the end of the trip. Let's go pack."

"Lucas, I don't have time for this."

"Just shut up and let me take you there. Do you not want to get something fun done before you leave?"

"I guess."

"Then, let's go."

"Can't we at least wait until morning, it's already eight."

"The earlier we leave, the earlier we get there and the more time we have to do things."

A/N: It's almost over guys! I have less than a few chapters left to write and some of them I have already written. I'm a little upset about that.
Also, I'm trying to write this up before the end of July because I'm moving and I don't want to leave you guys hanging with nothing from me... Again.
